Discovery
The tomb was discovered by a construction crew. Inside were found ten ossuaries with six bearing the inscriptions of names. The bones contained in the ossuaries were buried in unmarked graves following the discovery.

Inscriptions
Five of the ten names are claimed by some to be associated with figures from the New Testament. As published in the latest documentary, they read as follows:

Yeshua` bar Yehosef - "Jesus of Joseph"
Maryah - "Mary"
Yoseh - "Joses," short for "Joseph"
Mariamene e Mara - "Mary also known as Mara" - (the only inscription in Greek)
Mattiah - "Matthew" (no relation ever given of a Matthew as being related to Jesus)
Yehudah bar Yeshua` - "Judas of Jesus"
The documentary claims the tenth ossuary, which went missing years ago, as the James ossuary.

Support
With the help of statisticians, archeologists, historians, DNA experts, robot-camera technicians, epigraphers and a CSI expert from New York's Long Island, Jacobovici puts together a case in which he argues that the bones of Jesus, Mary and Mary Magdalene, along with some of their lesser-known relatives, were once entombed in this cave. James Charlesworth of the Princeton Theological Seminary consulted with Jacobovici on the project and is intrigued: "A very good claim could be made that this was Jesus' clan.".

Epigraphy
Four leading epigraphers have corroborated the ossuary inscriptions for the documentary, according to the Discovery Channel.[5] Most of the inscriptions are straightforward and easy to read, the only the inscription that posed any difficulty was the one attributed to "Jesus, of Joseph."

Statistical reports
On February 25, 2007, a statistical study concluded that the odds are at least 600 to 1 for the Talpiot Tomb actually being Jesus Family Tomb. The methodology of this study is due to be published in a journal soon, but in the meantime a summary can be found on the Discovery Channel website. The study would be helped by several things: first, how common the names were during that period; second, by having a review from an independent source commenting on the methodology employed in the calculation.

Andrey Feuerverger, professor of statistics and mathematics at the University of Toronto, recently conducted a study addressing the probabilities that will soon be published in a leading statistical journal. Feuerverger multiplied the instances that each name appeared during the tomb's time period with the instances of every other name. He initially found "Jesus of Joseph" appeared once out of 190 times, Mariamne appeared once out of 160 times and so on. To be conservative, he next divided the resulting numbers by 25 percent, a statistical standard, and further divided the results by 1,000 to attempt to account for all tombs -- even those that have not been uncovered -- that could have existed in first century Jerusalem. The study concludes that the odds are at least 600 to 1 in favor of the Talpiot Tomb being the Jesus Family Tomb. In other words, the conclusion works 599 times out of 600.

Criticism
Newsweek reports that the archaeologist who personally numbered the ossuaries dismissed any potential connection:

"Simcha has no credibility whatsoever," says Joe Zias, who was the curator for anthropology and archeology at the Rockefeller Museum in Jerusalem from 1972 to 1997 and personally numbered the Talpiot ossuaries. "He's pimping off the Bible... He got this guy Cameron, who made 'titanic' or something like that–what does this guy know about archeology? I am an archaeologist, but if I were to write a book about brain surgery, you would say, 'Who is this guy?' People want signs and wonders. Projects like these make a mockery of the archaeological profession."
Stephen Pfann, a biblical scholar at the University of the Holy Land in Jerusalem who was interviewed in the documentary, also said the film's hypothesis holds little weight:

"How possible is it?" Pfann said. "On a scale of one through 10 - 10 being completely possible - it's probably a one, maybe a one and a half."
Pfann added that the inscription read as "Jesus" has been misread by suggesting that the name "Hanun" might be a more accurate rendering.

Some theologians have also disputed this claim, with the Israel Museum's Mevorah calling it "a good trick" and Asbury Theological Seminary's Dr. Ben Witherington III saying it was "highly improbable."

Media coverage
The BBC first aired a documentary on the Talpiot Tomb in 1996. At that time, Amos Kroner, the first archaeologist to examine the site said the claims of a connection to Jesus didn't hold up archaeologically, adding "They just want to get money for it." Others were similarly skeptical, though another of the archaeologists who discovered the tomb admitted "I’m willing to accept the possibility."

The tomb was featured on the Today Show on February 26, 2007 where it was mentioned that the ossuaries were sent to New York.[citation needed]

A second documentary about the tomb, titled The Lost Tomb of Jesus, has been produced by James Cameron and Simcha Jacobovici, and will premiere on The Discovery Channel on March 4, 2007. The documentary is being released in conjunction with Jacobovici's book The Jesus Family Tomb.

Kapag ang puso'y 'di sanay mag-isa
Puro lungkot na lang ang nadarama
Kapag walang tibok
Walang ligaya
Kapag wala ka sa buhay ko'y
Walang sigla

Ang iyong pangakong
Ako'y laging mamahalin
Tandang-tanda ko pa
Ang ating sumpaan
hanggang wakas
Ay magsasama
Umulan, bumagyo
gumuho man ang mundo
Ikaw at ako pa rin

Refrain:

Remember me
kapag nag-iisa
Kapag ika'y nalulungkot
Huwag kang mag-alala
Remember me
Kapag iniwan kang
Luhaan at sugatan
Ng iyong minamahal
Remember me
'Di ko kayang limutin ka
Noon, ngayon, magpakailan man
Ako'y naghihintay

Adlib:

Repeat 2nd stanza

Remember me
kapag nag-iisa
Kapag ika'y nalulungkot
Huwag kang mag-alala
Remember me
Kapag iniwan kang
Luhaan at sugatan
Ng iyong minamahal
Remember me
'Di ko kayang limutin ka
Noon, ngayon, magpakailan man
Ako'y maghihintay

Way cool day, visiting new aquatic centre in my 'barangay' near well know Highpoint Shopping Centre.

Swam in normal lanes and warm pool, which was nice. But the Sauna was new to me,had Dry & Steam, tried both,lol...the dry heat just like work heh. Quite good but you can't spend more than 15 minutes in each, too hot! Yihee then found the Spa...oh eeee...never had that before either..hmm having water jets go everywhere lol, funky feeling. Bleh. Oh the life of the rich&famous(not).... Excellent day!!! I wuz thinking of kidnapping someone...(grrrrrr)as it is fun!

I spend about 200 pesos your money for spa, sauna and swimming pool, locker here at 80 pesos(40=$1),which is way cheap. Gee hotel charges too much, but this public,so if you can handle bikini girls taking up your space..well,walang problema!(Yeah there was a few..,not that I looked(much)). After turning into a prune from being in the water for 2-3 hrs, ijumped out of the pool, and yeah my pants decided on gravity and weight-waterlogged,should kick in. So sorry girls(dyosa na serena..)near me for seeing the moon shine near you, bwahahaha(Oopsie),lol did I get back in the water quick and try and recover mwah trunks!!!!!

Fun....in a stressful world. ^_^ Back later..

Like a French Knight many moons long hence, unhorsed in the mud of Agincourt. I have taken my arrow and its painful price therein. If I said the risk was not worth the effort,I would lie.

In friendship there lies duty, there lies love, there lies respect and all qualities therein.

I thus risked all for a friend true, and left myself vulnerable, nominally meant to be an ironclad shell, but she broke it. Aray. I thus can't say I did the wrong thing, but the Right thing, for the Right reason,to the Right friend. Her tears too much for me this time,to sit back,so I changed the rules, hiihii - flowers on the wrong day? So care be her's all year not one, heh. And..I felt..that debilitating of all maladies,Love. Grrrrrr.

For all my weakness herein, and vulnerability to my friend. It is a thing borne out of friendship and care, not just some passing ship in the night. So no matter her direction in life, the bond remains. Care for her pamilya and her too great to dismiss at a whim, and I will always be there in the darkest night or brightest dawn of her life, ever cheering her on! Even when gone from these shores in FFF,I will remember Her.

Please take care
](And she will always win Bowling even if Lukaret heh!!! )Phil ^_^

Online you meet some cool and not so cool people. Good friends and enemies(Nielle -->Kagatin mo ako!)even.

I have had my fair share of grief, but in encountering friends or strangers, you put that on a back seat when you see them down or needing a hand. It is a way of healing your own soul and being a better person. Recently I had the honour of seeing my old friend MAYlil_monsoon return and I am thankful,Salamat for the gang-us Makulits, cheering her on. And please Flip & FGA don't breathe heavy on my phone as it is NOT May's number OK,heh!!!

As I know diff cultures I took what skills I have and applied it to caring for others, even JOB hunting: Secretary in Cambodia&Sound Recording Engineer China, recently for people. Girls maybe cute but they still need care, respect and security in life,so if you can be kind, not just eye them off! Serious nah. Just the other night I was happy to unwittingly help a Vietnamese Lady pull through grief, and I am surprised actually. So without thinking you sometimes may not know it,but simple care may heal those you encounter. So I pray I can be a good Guardian,a true friend and cheer others on. I am not the best of men,but I wish to try.

Chuc Mung Nam Moi! Happy Lunar New Year!

I just came from the new movie release showing of GHOST RIDER,Nicholas Cage & Eve Mendes.

Highly action packed to me. Somewhat romantic heh and sad. As Nicholas Cage,a stunt rider, ala "Evil Kineval",is trying to find his "2nd Chance" after making a contract unwittingly with the Devil over his father's cancer, and then tricked. At night Nic is a flaming demonic spirit hunting those against the devil,in this case his own evil . Into this his relationship with Eve suffers and has to come to terms with his 'monster' side.

It was to be just an action flick I wanted to see,but hmmm somewhat directed at myself, trying also to find that elusive "2nd chance" in life, and the 'sign' as Nic says being the girl "Roxanne". He had to ride away from her years past as he found his curse too much to involve her in,so he ran away when she needed him. And...I felt ill with another curse of sorts and felt best to leave, even though it pains me to do so. I don't know now am I really doing the right thing???

So I will take this curse and try to help those affected likewise and see what I can do to cheer them on? Like with Nic,take what is negative and try and turn it into a positive.
