Love and Forgiveness

Are you forgetting things more than you used to? Do you find yourself staring at someone you’ve known for years but, for the life of you, you can’t remember her name? Do you walk into a room and then wonder what you came there to do? We all forget from time to time, some of us more and some less, but forgetting is a reality of the human condition.
Forgetting is not, however, a reality of God’s condition. God cannot forget because God is all-knowing. God knows everything that has happened, is happening, or will happen. This is what makes Jeremiah 31:34 so amazing. God promises that he will both forgive and forget our sins. In other words, he will treat us as if we had never committed a single sin. He can do this because Jesus already paid the price of all sins by his death for us.
Whatever sin is troubling you, whatever guilt is burdening you, whatever memory is haunting you, forget it. Leave it behind. Leave it at the foot of the cross where it belongs. Go into your day free and filled with joy because God forgives and forgets.

so does that mean that when God forgives us, He never forgets what we have done? i guess i misunderstood your question. i didnt know that god was included in your ? god is god, he is the almighty, and we are humans. let me ask you this, if somebody has done you wrong, if that person really hurt you (not only talking about being broken-hearted), and you decided to forgive the person, can you honestly tell yourself and others that you will be able to forget what happened? i know that it will always be in your memory because it was a part of your life, all you can do is not to dwell on the past. now if you can forget, then a big WOW! | |||

i guess i misunderstood your question. i didnt know that god was included in your ? god is god, he is the almighty, and we are humans. let me ask you this, if somebody has done you wrong, if that person really hurt you (not only talking about being broken-hearted), and you decided to forgive the person, can you honestly tell yourself and others that you will be able to forget what happened? i know that it will always be in your memory because it was a part of your life, all you can do is not to dwell on the past. now if you can forget, then a big WOW! umm, but God commands us to follow His will right? to love Him with all our heart, mind and soul? so that means obeying His every commandment. so i guess if God forgive and forgets, then we should do the same thing. but then i know its hard to do. but i then believe through God's grace we can be set free. and all things are possible with God. | |||

there you go, "it's hard to do" because we are human. yup, very true...that is why with God, all things are possible. we shouldn't forget how powerful He can be if we will allow Him to work in our lives  | |||

i always say and believe that you should always try to forgive to move on. less you wont forgive...there will be pain and hatred inside you.
the only way to love someone again if not show love to someone is to give them forgiveness, then you heal and move on.
God is a loving God. No matter how much wrong we have done, still His heart is open and willing to forgive us. The only thing we need to do is to call Him and ask Him.
One of Gods early teaching is to love one another.
