too early

Gosh it is 3:50am. I have 10 minutes before I have to leave for work. I really do love my work but getting up at 3:00am to do it sure stresses that enjoyment! We are in the midst of an early summer heat wave here. 30c plus and sunny. We are replacing a very large roof last week and this week. On a roof the temp is 5 to 10 degrees hotter then it is in the shade on the ground. So we must start early to get a full day of work in before the sun beats down on us with its full force. And my blood has not thinned out for the high temp yet.
But the worst part of this is it puts me completely out of sinc with chatting to my friends online and here as well. So I will look forward to this week being over and returning to normality More than you imagine.....

no where to live

Well my house finally sold after trying to sell it for over a year. you would think I would be prepared for this moment but I'm totally not. I spent a long time rebuilding this house from the foundation up. I replaced everything. I never did such a project before, I learned as I went and the final result was to rave reviews. But the market for selling houses dropped off completely and so I came to expect it would take a long time to sell. But low and behold a young doctor and his wife came and saw the place and fell in love with it. That warms my heart to know all my hard work will be loved. I rebuilt this place with love and care.
However they are so excited that they want the place in 25 days! that leaves no time for finding another place. I still work and I have to pack and move all the things in this house and put them in storage. I need to change my mailing address. etc etc.... And i have no idea where I want to move too. I want to be able to think about my option and be able to take advantage of any opportunity that may arise. So that leaves two options. One I rent a place for a few months or 2 I buy a camper trailer and live on my buddy's acreage beside a nice river that borders his property for 3 months.
Hmmmm I need to decide soon!

I had this song in my head today all day, I could only remember the verse so I looked up the lyrics to remember the whole song. And now I decide to share it to you all. There is an excellent video on youtube for this song, but I won't post the link. If anyone would like it just ask. To me this is a great song for how I feel. I love sunshine always and it is sunny and hot here this week. So it just falls into place for me. And yes her love was my Sunshine everyday.

Everyday I go to work and I wonder why? What is the purpose? Yes I like to build things and I get much satisfaction from that. And I like to solve problems for people so that too is in itself rewarding. But I have never been big on just earning money and saving it. I was raised that a man should be a provider. And yet here I am with nobody to provide for. Nobody to buy flowers for. Nobody to take on a vacation and share the wonders of the world. Nobody to dream and plan with. Oh i know there are plenty of pinays that would be happy to have a guy who does that, but I will when I'm ready look for one that likes Me first and the surprise and gifts second. For now the good news is the things I build will still be around tomorrow and the next day if I die. And I think/hope those people will remember fondly the guy who made their house nice or fixed their leaky roof.

Another piece of paradise

Every fall I go hunting with another friend of mine in northern B.C. We go for 1 to 2 weeks and we hunt and fish and explore. We set up camp in some of the most beautiful places. This picture I posted is of lake kakwa provincial park. I was stunned by its beauty. Years ago the only way to get to it was but float plane or helicopter. Then someone made a road to it. But for the last 10 years the road has been closed except to horseback, walking and snow mobiles in the winter time.

One of the many natural wonders where I live is we have many waterfalls. Some are big and some are small but all are beautiful. Even on the hottest days standing beside a waterfalls will cool your skin. In the spring and early summer you can drive down any road and most likely see one. What is it about seeing water cascade over a rock face that is so beautiful?

Canadian Summer

Every year the may long weekend in canada symbolizes the beginning of summer here. Of course summer doesn't actually begin officially for another month, but we canadians are pretty tired of winter by May! Last week there were no boats on the lake but now as I sit outside making this blog there are 10 boats roaring around in front of my house. And one boat is towing a water skier! Too cold for that I think but hey its their right. The weather in nice but not hot enough for water skiing i think. But fishing...yeah perfect for that! lol And a camp fire to cook the fish...mmmmm yummy. Makes me want to say GONE FISHING.
