i started with this site many decades ago
found this person with a handsome ego
he asked am i your ticket for a free meal
aghast am not even this pauper deal

defended myself say am not after
i replied could you lend some lowly parlay
if you win i will return your sum with interest
but if i win you owe me these many regrets.

don't get me wrong was simply playing words
open his mind striking them with high notes
i battled with my wits he found attractive
he had not wasted time so became receptive.

after a few months of conversation everyday
a shocking revelation i was naive cannot say
i found someone so disarrayed as a person
not this gentleman but a dame in comparison.

That makes my first chapter as a newbie
if i remember right i started way back 2003
counting past decades with stories to tell
amazing stunning exhilarating tales i can spell.

the space is huge be heard

mondays are usually dragging
more so with retirees counting
what more do i keep asking
with lots of time be basking.

not leaving house sans permission
for fear i would lose my direction
nope am not ill with dementia
am just used riding a "grandia."

i'd say it's still home sweet home
am familiar with everything done
with a little bag and some pesos
i can get far away with my "retazos."

although life is better lived here
buying in small digits is a barter
but home is where the heart is
people are warmer within reach.

in many more weeks am moving
can't seem quell what's exciting
the winter snow will not stop
done with the flurries had my glee.

maybe if i have this someone in duo
our time may not just be enough too
counting the leaves fall till another day
not gonna be fun but worth all the way.

fading away with friends nowhere
where is mirth in the atmosphere
days have been quiet and gloomy
it's slowly dying no more parody.

a few have tried some succeeded
but was it this true work of cupid
as couples marched so i heard
me? no luck found though i tarried.

love blogs hence i keep coming back
two or more friends found their flock
i still have the same circle of lassie
though in another plateau called efbee.

Although I dreamed of seeing snow-capped mountains
Riding trains as much to see the sights and plains
Dread a freezing cold not to withstand the seer heat
Always a pleasure and this unexpected change with it.

My age keeps adding my thoughts ever wondering
What more to achieve desire what could be exciting
Spending time as I please explore what's around
i will walk through the miles admire nature's crown.

I have more hours though less in might and power
Little things neglected shall bear weight in saunter
The haste of yesterday becomes vivid memories
I shall dwell now on what made my life in a leash.
