We speak because we like to express sentiments
More often we say what's in our heart and mind
Whether it's mirth in sadness or to communicate
Words from our mouth should come as delicate.
It's always wise to choose the words we speak
It can hurt a poor soul even uplift who is meek
"Do not eat your words," as we say often
Literally not but in caution words need be mentioned.
You have crappy thoughts words come out sloppy
So that we say where the mind goes words follow
Words out of excitement come out insensitively
I prefer or rather find safe aping the cow's bellow.
Words can make or break us as it has been said
Words increase our joy as we speak what's right
In moments of disappointment one can't be deaf
As sadness tend to make one say what will bite.
The power of words can transform a human being
When we realize understand what words are conveying
We are able to choose think and speak what's right
Doubt oppression get dispelled nothing will be uptight.
A positive outlook in life with positive words from God
Each morning is a new day of renewal it can't be bad
Health of body health of soul derived from healthy words
Taught spoken by our Creator make us worthy abodes.

There is Batanes the northernmost shoreland.

Even the Banaue Rice Terraces a site colossal

In the innermost forest exotic flora fauna you hunt.
If you want to splurge go to El Nido in Palawan

Many seafoods to your delight in markets you'll find
If you are adventurous fishing in the sea a gold mine

We are the most hospitable caring loving persons

Philippines is not the only country or place to find them
There are scammers admittedly but even in facebook
These kinds abound there is no perfect place or nook.
Am not trying to be patriotic but yes am marketing
The Philippines is one tropical country so inviting

Am terribly amazed at how behave these days
From someone raised conservatively I marvel the ways
The take up relationship and its consequences
As early on their years they have them in dozens.
My time made me concentrate on studies never on boys
Taboo to associate with the opposite my options no voice
There has been private schools exclusively for each genders
Got schooled in this fashion and exclusivity unlike the others.
My values haven't changed since but most are now obsolete

GETTING SENTIMENTAL

I often indulge on thinking the yesteryears of my life
Now that I have turned a senior who's past many strifes
Am not a perfect person but I try as hard to be useful
More than what is expected of in order to be successful.
With marriage a big flop the were my sole consolation
Finding what's best as mother and breadwinner in combination
There were days when I cried and almost gave up striving
But I would see my so cooperative and comforting.
I was this nervous wreak I saw nothing was being accomplished
From one business to another gains made what's brandished
I said to myself am the sole channel to provide for tomorrow
There ain't stopping if I'd reach what's gonna be a good flow.
The days went by with thinking what would happen next
I certainly can't do this alone but I decided nothing complex
Had to tell the I needed help to keep our lives going
The eldest sons told t'was time for them to be working.
Tearful to see my sons at 18 and 17 serving as food crew
They should be enjoying youth in work not as glued
Trace of diligence and determination have given heights
To what they wanted proven this made good their plights.
The younger sons took care of the house and also helped
One so young at 13 the fishes he bought and bred
On summer days during school furlough he traded
More exotic species for the monies that he had saved.
Now everyone full grown and with their own families
Glad to see they raised their without agonies
They have all been successful with their family lives
Their kind of rearing showed me great responsibilities.
When I think of those years my heart's full of sharing
My have all shown good character in parenting
Despite how poorly wrongly their parent's marriage went
How we struggled it mattered not how we lived and spent.

When I was 8 years old because I excelled
I was fielded join a declamation contest
The poem was about a family of twelve
I won this prize t'was a book of beautiful sites
Countries shown in photos tho' black and white
It was my first time to see Niagara Falls so wide
Its expanse strong e'er flow of currents or tides
A marvel so promise myself one day I'll visit
It was truly sad to have had a visa denied
But still continued to have this earnest
Desire to travel all the way to Buffalo where
Niagara Falls is and my oldest sibling retired
When I came to Canada I knew the border
To reach USA would somehow be possible
Niagara Falls is then nearer so is my brother
I've scheduled this travel come summer 2020
As I have had arrived Canada winter of 2019
Alas even before summer came covid invaded
The fight against covid worldwide so formidable
Could no longer go with the travel ban enforced
Niagara Falls continued to be a long time dream
My years are dwindling I still am hoping like you
Travel to countries visiting sites until I can still do
I added to my dream this companion to be with
No fun doing it alone to share admire beauties
Where nature can be so dauntingly outstanding
I will surely wait for this one item in my bucket list.

It's mine to give all boundless even timeless

Their love forbidden by Elizabeth's father undermined
Capacity of both eloping and marrying at their prime.
With a love that is matched how long will love last
Some say there is forever others believe unto dust
It will exit but will exist and remain into the next
That's love of Jesus for our Virgin Mary so blessed.
Will pronouncing love to someone else be as dynamic
Or will it remain as ethereal as long as one mimics
As humans how defined can we speak about or fall in love

Season starts when the "ber" months get ushered
Christmas carols are played daily it can be heard
Adorning their homes with the festive atmosphere
Shopping started by many for the gifts under the fir.
Even with covid the spirit doesn't get dampened
Malls display best its different Christmas scenes
Street lights glitter with its colorful flickering bulbs
Star-shaped lanterns mixed in philippine-made sculpts.
People still milled around wholesalers like Divisoria
Searching for the cheapest most practical buys
Adding more to past year's Christmas paraphernalia
Who's to say people will not spend for their supplies.
The much awaited nine day novena starts your dawn
Stalls selling "bibingka" "puto bumbong" you'd see
Before or after the novena mass dispel your yawn
Youngsters are the avid church goers including me.
Now all is enjoined to attend the "simbang gabi" on tv
We mull over the pandemic with our traditions deprived
Sad as it is there is no stopping whatever it maybe
Celebrating our Saviour's day for decades it's been conceived.
I will surely miss the celebration again this year
Am this far away to celebrate the longest Christmas
I'll see flurries falling covering the trees with my tears
It's never the same with our traditions though its past.

With my age time is always of great importance
Even whilst younger my hours in life will tell me
Time's running fast work be done sans reluctance
There is more to achieve than have this dilly dally.
Being a single mom time will always mean double
I need to double my efforts have these double jobs
Ever seeking to be busy in having fun I've been a snob
With five mouths to feed I don't engage in tittle tattle.
I am already past the stage of doubling everything
Retirement life has asked me to ease and slow down
Needless to hie time sails I see my rewards unending
Alas! Time flew swiftly the pandemic battles the ground.
There is no young nor old we all become its prey
Not only woes for the sick it gets even the strong
Lives lost the infected keeps mounting day by day
One's plans and times now can't seem to be known.
Projection's impossible for what's long term everywhere
Plans are cut short or gets delayed most even deferred
We learn to live by the moment with what is there
Rely on ourselves to survive praying not to get interred.
The pandemic made us realized that any government
Can only do so much to help its people it's not limitless
We open our eyes fighting a great discouragement
It's our choice to pursue what is survival of the fittest.
No control is effective if people persist not to believe
Discipline should be paramount to stem any spread
Contamination fires rapidly it cannot just be a peeve
Even with a trusted vaccine ailment is still a dread.
I reconciled with my Creator the hour may be on hand
Without HIM we're nothing but a dust driven by the wind
He creates destroys even to the point HE will rescind
In constant prayer I've asked reprieve but HIS will be done.
