Within a few hours in some parts of our world
Year 2020 will pass without any grandstanding
It will also come pass within my neighborhood
But less the avant-garde of previous welcoming.
It started well but after the last month of 1st quarter
We have been shocked witnessed experienced covid
No seer ever predicted this event as a blockbuster
Except the lines of Revelation showing something vivid.
Too many woes of nature's destruction and wrath
One after the other came awakening something in us
Are more imminent dangers world soon unwraps
Or just due climate change that we believe obvious.
We all wish this end without flare and much ado
Our prayers never stop because we need a miracle
A vaccine to stop the spread awareness of what's due
Let all be heaven sent to stop what's getting probable.
World is not at chaos due to nuclear war but what's rare
A return to the era of epidemic these strains weathered
Something biological that's been invented or detected
Became whispers due to high technology we've mustered.
Whatever it can be and what has come to our world
This 2020 we've shunned in our thoughts notably
Another year hopefully no extension of what's bolder
2021 unfolds with much hope in our minds excitably.

I encountered this silly question, but because somehow the "now" genre seems to have forgotten the simple rudiments of what and how respect is done, lemme throw and open somehow a discussion on the question raised as:
If "respect" is to be earned, why do we respect elders, when all they did was get older?

THIS IS RIGHT ON THE NOSE. .......READ IT SLOWLY... I DON'T KNOW WHO WROTE IT, BUT I AM GUESSING IT WAS A SENIOR!!! I FIRST STARTED READING THIS AND WAS READING FAST UNTIL I REACHED THE THIRD SENTENCE. I STOPPED AND STARTED OVER READING SLOWER AND THINKING ABOUT EVERY WORD. THIS IS VERY THOUGHT-PROVOKING. MAKES YOU STOP AND THINK.
AND THEN IT IS WINTER You know. . . time has a way of moving quickly and catching you unaware of the passing years.
It seems just yesterday that I was young, just married and embarking on my new life with my mate. Yet in a way, it seems like eons ago, and I wonder where all the years went. I know that I lived them all. I have glimpses of how it was back then and of all my hopes and dreams. But, here it is... the winter of my life and it catches me by surprise...How did I get here so fast? Where did the years go and where did my youth go?
I remember well seeing older people through the years and thinking that those older people were years away from me and that winter was so far off that I could not fathom it or imagine fully what it would be like. But, here it is...my friends are retired and getting grey...they move slower and I see an older person now. Some are in better and some worse shape than me...but, I see the great change....Not like the ones that I remember who were young and vibrant...but, like me, their age is beginning to show and we are now those older folks that we used to see and never thought we'd be.
Each day now, I find that just getting a shower is a real target for the day! And taking a nap is not a treat anymore... it's mandatory! Cause if I don't on my own free will... I just fall asleep where I sit!
And so...now I enter into this new season of my life unprepared for all the aches and pains and the loss of strength and ability to go and do things that I wish I had done but never did!
But, at least I know, that though the winter has come, and I'm not sure how long it will last...this I know, that when it's over on this earth...it's NOT over. A new adventure will begin!
Yes, I have regrets. There are things I wish I hadn't done...things I should have done, but indeed, there are many things I'm happy to have done. It's all in a lifetime.
So, if you're not in your winter yet...let me remind you, that it will be here faster than you think. So, whatever you would like to accomplish in your life please do it quickly! Don't put things off too long!
Life goes by quickly. So, do what you can today, as you can never be sure whether this is your winter or not! You have no promise that you will see all the seasons of your life...so, live for today and say all the things that you want your loved ones to remember...and hope that they appreciate and love you for all the things that you have done for them in all the years past!
"Life" is a to you. The way you live your life is your to those who come after. Make it a fantastic one.
LIVE IT WELL! ENJOY TODAY! DO SOMETHING FUN! BE HAPPY! HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Now that Christmas Day had passed
A few more days to probably amass
Our recollections of what last year
Did which brought us to many tears.
Too many events and mishaps in 2020
Year is not ended yet but may bring surely
Many more difficulties and uncertainties
But let's regain more hope despite iniquities.
We've been wantonly destroying our earth
In our selfish motives we forget what's dearth
It's always been human's desire for greed
Overlook nonchalant it's not our only need.
We should seek three modes of love as taught
There's love for our Creator it's nothing bought
Emerging from our hearts despite what's unseen
HIS love incomparable HE died so all errs be forgiven.
Love for family comes second without question
It propels our Christmas season's celebration
We're reminded to go back to our roots celebrate
The union of all through our love for Jesus Christ.
The sick the needy the poor the imprisoned to love
Our fellowmen who are suffering without a doubt
Sharing what's possible even this good portion
A good endeavor to give our excess as .
We have suffered the consequences unknowingly
Are we being punished as we find scarcity slowly
Time to reflect to quell what seems flourishing
Nature's wrath is annoying but it's convincing.
The coming year should keep us more sober
For the ugly things that made us go overboard
It's time we realize give back what we owe
The year should mark our return in good glow.

It's a fact that older men prefer one who's much younger
Seldom we find a man in search for one many years older
For someone past the marrying age I can say find this normal
Who's to say it ain't acceptable but we see very possible.
Some don't mind marrying very much older whites
To say love at first sight is somehow remotely right
Young ladies perhaps not bolder but I believe smarter
Fancy dream of a handsome prince is just her prayer.
So what else could be the reason? This extended family
An obligation to_ feed? The end of earning tirelessly?
The dream of life abroad? or A life made of luxury?
So love can come next what's important is security.
Typical of an Oriental scene brown marrying white
Because scarcity and depravity are common plights
Not always true as we have seen what's uncommon
A father image? who knows we don't know the person.
Let's focus on older woman escorted by her date
Not this of course but a close friend for a mate
Lucky she with this younger blood her true pride
I'd have my naughty thoughts can she still ride?
So the same thing I will need to ask is it true love
Odd if the gentleman says yes but I have my doubts
Love for money and luxury are good motivations
But what if the old lady is just this ordinary person?
I will say, "Heck a relationship may not be ideal to me
It's the couple deciding what will make them happy."
Shunning the views of anyone I say "It's their life to live

Living your years past retirement you pause
Ask yourself what more to pursue as life's cause
Different cultures will find its different set of answers
In my country no difference it's saying as you were.
Filipino parents while stronger become family nannies
They'd baby sit grandkids run errands for the families
It's a welcome relief as they find themselves still of use
With busy at work inside house work they choose.
Grandparents drive their to school the least to do
Western families it's more of own activities they're into
Finding themselves traveling concentrating on hobbies
You see them in their trailers getting busy with journeys.
Our purpose in life never stops each day we wake up to
We find a meaning in life which makes us e'er on the go
We keep searching for our direction short-live as it maybe
Sometimes a mission we need to accomplish being an oldie.
The purpose can be a vocation this need you like to satisfy
Could also be the right time to spend for more spirituality
Our religious beliefs well founded keep and guide our way
Unique we may have to think and believe it makes our day.
Many fret the day that life will have no purpose it's impossible
I do not profess because while we breathe life gets tangible
Your faculties keep you alive so nothing will be done as idle
It's only in death that your purpose is no longer said viable.

I said beautiful being a must should apply all
Doesn't mean ladies only also males we call

Remember the lyrics of a song that goes
"Am just a lonely boy, lonely and blue
With nothing to do"..these lyrics tell you
It's only a state of mind that's without glow.
Being lonely is not all about being alone
A need for company or to talk with someone
This loss of a loved one in the family
Are causative factors that are temporal largely.
Though loneliness is caused by one's low esteem
These feelings of emptiness being unwanted
Become the outcry when one feels deprived
Where isolation is nurtured loneliness gets rooted.
End-result of being lonely can lead to depression
When aggravated gives a serious medical condition
The mental health of the person is jeopardized
May be irreversible if not attended or categorized.
Our Maker created and gave us a beautiful world
We need to draw from it that which gives balance
In order to make our minds and emotions unfurl
With the right thoughts we make this our challenge.
