I came from the family of poets, public speakers, musicians and ESL teachers so writing is not new to me.

I used to eat Mediterranean pizza, Italian pasta, bagel with cream cheese, Rotisserie Club chicken wrap, burrito, Parmesan bread bites, Philly cheese steak and cinnamon sticks along with Vanilla bean frappuccino, jelly grass drinks, coconut juice with meat and mango or avocado smoothie.

Now, I can eat anything and sky is the limit .

We need the dessert for our sweet tooth .

Above are some of the food I wanna eat right now. But lobster, a lot of squid, lechon and chicharon will definitely give me a high blood pressure. Yes, at my young age.

“Your Face Sounds Familiar” is an interactive reality television franchise series developed by Endemol and Antenna 3, where celebrity contestants impersonate singers. The format, similar to Dutch television series “Soundmixshow,” was first used in Spain under the title “Tu cara me suena” in 2011.

In Philippine scenario on March 9, 2015, mega star Sharon Cuneta made a comeback in ABS-CBN her home for three decades and one of her first projects would be to sit as a judge in the show with International Singing Champion Jed Madela and Mr. Pure Energy himself Gary Valenciano.

Every week, the performers would be guided by Teacher Annie Quintos as their vocal coach while Teacher Georcelle of the G-Force would show them the right movements and choreography.

The Philippine version of YFSF began on March 14, 2015 with eight celebrity performers competing in a sing and dance number while impersonating iconic singers. Each week, the "Iconizer" or "Randomizer" assigns the artists of whom they will portray or personify.

On April 18-19, 2015 which was week six, Gary Valenciano temporarily left the show to fulfill his commitment of performing in a series of concerts in Papua New Guinea, Spain and Qatar. He was substituted by Boy Abunda. The same instance occurred on week 10 (May 16-17) and he was replaced by Vice Ganda.

Every week the winner will win a cash prize of P100,000, half will be given to his or her chosen charity. The grand prize is 2 million pesos.

The top four contestants will compete for the public's votes wherein the one with the highest votes will be declared the first winner of Your Face Sounds Familiar Philippine edition.

Who is your bet? Personally, my choice is Jolina Magdangal. I also like Karla Estrada, How about you? My favorite performance were Nyoy's Butsikek by the late Yoyoy Villame, Melai's Waray Waray by Elizabeth Ramsey, Jay R's Islands in the stream by Kenny Rogers and Jolens "Sinta" by Aegis.

As Gary V said, YFSF Philippine version is the only show where a copied her own iconic father singer when Maxene impersonated her dad King Francis M.

Hotel rooms won't be cleaned, double-doubles won't be poured

The temporary foreign workers in Canada packed their bags, but they're not ready to go. Tens of thousands had their permits expired on April 1, 2015. A mass exodus of them is on the horizon as low-skill employees who have been in Canada at least four years are forced to leave whether they like it or not.

In 2011, the federal government changed the rules — giving TFW in low-skilled jobs the option to apply to become permanent residents or leave the country after their permits expire. But many of those who wish to stay are still waiting for the paperwork to be processed leaving them in limbo.

Most of those workers are employed in the agricultural and fishing industries. Bill Stevens, the CEO of Mushroom Canada, is pushing for a reprieve. "Frankly, it's crisis with us because we're losing workers who don't want to leave, who have proven themselves to be valuable and deserve an opportunity to apply for citizenship," Stevens said. He says the $900-million mushroom industry relies on temporary foreign workers to do jobs it can't fill with Canadians. He says Highline Mushrooms in Kingsville, Ontario and Rol-Land Farms near Blenheim are both facing major decreases in production, if the deadline is upheld.

"The whole thing amounts to a major decrease in the production of our commodity, and they're going to suffer from it, they're going to lose markets, and especially now when the markets are really very strong," Stevens explains. He is pushing for a moratorium on the April 1 deadline and for new avenues for low skill temporary foreign workers to achieve.

Windsor Immigration lawyer Maria Fernandes says,“I would like to see a reprieve. Give these people two more years so we can create a program that leads to permanent residency. We don’t have a mechanism to allow them to obtain permanent residency in Ontario. Under the old rules which were changed in 2011, workers could simply reapply to continue working for their Canadian employer.”

Now, after a temporary foreign worker has reached their four-year cumulative duration limit, they will not be granted another work permit for an additional four years. After that time has elapsed, the worker will again be permitted to work in Canada. Fernandes mentions she has one who has worked 17 years in Canada and must now leave for four years before being able to apply again.

"The temporary foreign workers we’re talking about are doing jobs Canadians don’t want to do," says Fenandes. She claims employers tell her there is a very high turnover of Canadian employees in those types of jobs. She also mentions a higher wage isn't the solution and that by allowing temporary foreign workers to stay, it increases productivity at the businesses and creates spinoff jobs. They work at fisheries, on farms and as ethnic cooks - all jobs she said Canadians don't want. She claims a higher wage isn't the solution and that by allowing temporary foreign workers to stay, it increases productivity at the businesses and creates spin off jobs.

Hotel rooms won't be cleaned, double-doubles won't be poured, and the workers themselves will have to give up the dream of a better life in Canada.

"We're relying on the anecdotal stories from our members," says Mark Von Schellwitz of Restaurants Canada. "We don't have accurate numbers how many are leaving, but we know we're losing quite a lot of people as of Wednesday."

According to Employment Minister Jason Kenney in a letter to Conservative MPs obtained by CBC News, “1,000 temporary foreign workers in Alberta who had applied for permanent residency in Alberta were offered a one-year reprieve while they waited for their applications to be processed.”

Mary-Ann Salilican moved to Canada from the Philippines six years and six months ago, and she hoped to live out her life here. “I'm scared. I don't know what will happen...I don't want to go home for good,” she said. “ I don’t think I’ll be able to find a job in the Philippines, which would mean the family I have been supporting for years will suffer. I always cry, because I don't know what will happen to my life, and my niece and nephews who I support to go to school.”

The government has not revealed how many people have to leave by the deadline but some advocacy groups estimate it could be as many as 70,000 countrywide. "Those dreams of staying in Canada are all gone," said Marco Lucinao with Migrante Alberta.

Lucinao's group has been trying to keep temporary workers informed about their rights, including health-care options if they decide to stay illegally. He said many are confused about the rules and what steps are needed to become permanent residents. "These are also people. It's our responsibility as human beings to help others."

One extreme case involves Maria Victoria Venancio who came to Canada from the Philippines in 2011 to work at McDonalds. Two years ago, she was hit by a car while biking to her job. The accident left her in a wheelchair and unable to work. She could not renew her work visa because of her injuries and is now living in the country illegally and without health care.

Venancio said she's still holding out hope the government will make an exception because she was hurt while working here. "This not fair for the people who work hard for this country," she said.

Grizel Marron has lived in Edmonton for five years and gave birth to her , Ghian Zach nine months ago. She's afraid to go back to the Philippines where she won't be able to afford the same quality of health care for her baby. "I need to stay for my baby's future," she said at an information session for temporary foreign workers on March 31.

Clarizze Truscott was at the session to answer questions as a spokeswoman for the Temporary Foreign Work Support Coalition. She has been touched by countless stories about workers. Her group is lobbying the government to provide permanent status for all temporary foreign workers and their .

She said the TWF program as it stands now treats people as disposable. "It makes victims of innocent migrant workers and their who are caught in this mess."

In September, then finance minister Jason Kenney said the changes to the program were necessary to make sure Canadians get first access to available jobs. Despite the deadline, Salilican refuses to give up her Canadian dream.

She's now appealing to the federal government on humanitarian grounds, because she said going back to the Philippines will be more like leaving home than going back meaning she considers Canada as her home.

My baby's having fun and I like it

Today is Canadian Family Day so the whole country is still in its long weekend relaxation and as usual, “chibugan uli” .

My beloved Issa, on the other hand, sent me these beautiful cards for Valentine`s Day which was also my 25th birthday. How thoughtful she really is, isn`t she?

My precious gem was out of Manila because she attended their high school reunion. Along with her high school classmates, they left domestic airport in early morning of Friday the 13th then headed for their destination some hours from Tacloban. They had “fun run” the following day in their respective uniform and did more walk, eat, reminisce enjoying the serene beauty and friendship.
Nanay Gorgonia (Issa’s mom) sang me a happy birthday and my, she sang with grace. Anak nga niya si Issa my love. I was able to talk to her eldest sister, eldest brother and her nephew Mark who I consider my too. Si Issa kasi ang nagpalaki at nagpapaaral sa niyang pamangkin. Last Christmas, I spoke again to her other brother in Bulacan with her sister-in-law and their two grown-up boys. All her three nephews fondly call me “tito” or “uncle.” Masarap pakinggan, nakakataba ng puso na boto sila lahat sa akin.
The busiest was this Sunday, February 15. Issa went to mass twice, the last was with her mom. There was parade with float, acknowlegment of school batches, class presentation, fellowship lunch, jamming, picture taking, snorkeling, etchetera. May disco pa nga nung gabi kaya di niya narinig yung tawag ko but she phoned me back afterwards. My sweetheart is having fun and she deserves it.

I truly miss my beloved wife but still I let her go because the said reunion is a once in a lifetime event and I wanted Issa to have fun and enjoy mingling with the people she used to be with while pursuing high school education. In between work here in Toronto and my time off at home, I play MarketLand, CafeLand and Lucky Supermarket. I also level-up Issa’s ML, CL, Farm Heroes Saga and Candy Crush games. In playing her FB account while she’s gone made me closer to her. Yung pagka-miss ko sa kanya dun ko sa games ibinuhos else I’d drink beer and red wine with pork chicharon, bbq squid and mixed nuts as my pulutan.

No one and nothing can replace her. The love we have for each other is pure and true at bihirang mangyari in this lifetime.

What did I do to deserve someone as gorgeous, as adorable, as unique and beyond compare like my cherished gem? I am very fortunate to have met Issa thanking her for all the happiness that I feel, for making my world delightful and complete. Pinakaiibig kita, misis ko . Welcome back, baby...now, let's sleep together as we make love .

Words alone can't disclose the love I feel for you, baby. Syllables are not even enough to describe how I truly adore you. No one and nothing can't stop us now, honeybunch.

My place is 13 hours behind Manila time yet I was able to imagine how delightful new year in the Philippines is by constantly chatting with my gorgeous sweetheart. I could hear the loud explosion as well as the noisy background while they counted down. Issa was able to show me how beautiful the fireworks were. Her brother even drove their tricycle to say hello to 2015. We talked an hour more after the new year.
Meanwhile, as Torontonians celebrate the occasion we ate less than we anticipated even though the food varieties are so delicious. As you can see, my extended family (my mom, 10 cousins, grandparents, aunts and uncles prefer more of the Chinese delicacies .

My precious wife is still asleep as of this moment with her brother, sister-in-law and two older nephews. The current temperature is minus 4 with a windchill of minus 12. Last night was like -17.

Please take good care, everybody and I wish you all the very best in life. Have a prosperous and peaceful 2015 for all of us.

A couple of hours ago during my break, I drove my car in search of a pay phone. The first two were broken because of the ongoing constructions left and right. I can't use my cell phone to call Issa as signal was down and all circuits busy. The third public phone was hidden near the Metrolinx quarter but the engineer told me I couldn't get in to use it because a law is a law and that I was trespassing. I moved my car and saw a Bell payphone near Shoppers Drug Mart

I was able to talk to my girl and both of us are missing each other so badly . She gave me a ring yet the recording informed her that my number is unavailable at the moment. She even sent me text messages but they all failed to reach me. It was great hearing her voice again. Her giggles, her jokes, her affection are too much I can't thank her enough for the happiness and motivation she's giving me. We were so laughing hard, so delighted listening to one another. I am head over heels in love with Issa my darling .

The city began to be enveloped in the dark. At four in the afternoon, it's like midnight already as the flurries settled in after the fall windstorm yesteday .

MoveOntario 2020 was a PLAN proposed by the Government of Ontario that would fund 52 rapid-TRANSIT projects throughout the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area.
Metrolinx and the City of Toronto have signed off on the $8.4 billion LRT deal for the city that will see four new rapid transit lines constructed in an effort to ease congestion and improve mobility in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. This officially puts the money to work on the plan approved by Toronto City Council, with Metrolinx owning the LRT lines and the TTC as the Operator.
The Eglinton Crosstown LRT is already under construction with completion scheduled for 2020. The Scarborough LRT replacement and EXTENSION north to Sheppard Avenue will begin in 2014 with a 2020 completion date. The Finch West LRT and Sheppard East LRT are to begin in 2015 and 2017, respectively, with work finishing in 2020 and 2021.

The LRT on a street level and undergound are seen above. This huge project plus the building of more condo units, houses, malls and road development sometimes distort not only the cell phone signals but the internet, cable and satellite as well.
