This last weekend our family went to Adventureland Fun park in Des Moines,Iowa.Had alot of fun riding the rollar coasters,Playing all of the games and riding most of the big attraction rides.Ester and my are in the picture going on the log ride a rollar coaster in the water.What a fun ride even though they look scared out of there wits!Got very wet also when thy got to the bottom lake of water.

I love my old KAWASAKI KZ 1300

Hello all bikers.I found this old 1979 KZ1300 sitting in a barn in Iowa and decided to bring it back to life.If it had a side car on it I could haul alot of people up and down the hills in the Philippines.I will probley bring it over when I finally move there to the Rodriquez Rizal area.Take care Friends!I love the Phils!Born

TORNADO SEASON IS HERE in Iowa USA!!

When the seasons change so does the weather here in the midwestern United States!
Tornados,Large Hail,High winds and Heavy Rain are very serious threats mother nature lays on to us!On March 31,2007 Natures Fury was acting up here in Gilmore City,Ia.The warm air and the cold air meet and cause the weather to react in wierd ways.I keep an eye on the sky this time of year and this last weekend Ester got to experience the Nasty weather that happens in the USA.I had been watching the storm coming in on my Weather station and knew it was closing in on us.So I talked Ester into chasing the storm with me and a good friend from town(Honest Dan the City Man)in contact with law enforcement officials and being a trained storm spotter I know how to be close to a Tornado but not to close!This picture Ester took from the back seat of the jeep as the storm was approaching fast!We moved fairly fast to another gravel road south east of the storm and watched as Funnel clouds kept forming out of the clouds!No one was Hurt but we all had a great time chasing the storms that day.Kurt

My Hot Rod ! 1970 SS396 CHEVELLE

When I turned 16 years old and was able to drive legally,Some one traded this car into my Dads Chevrolet dealership and somehow I talked him into letting it be My First Car.I had so many great times in this thing.Alot of trouble too with the law but It was worth every minute of it!
The Chevelle SS represented Chevrolets entry into the Hot midsize Muscle car battle.Early 1964 and 1965 Chevelles had a mailbu SS badge on the quarter panels;after 1966,the mailbu badging disappeared except for those sold in Canada
The Chevelle SS was the high performance version and had its own line of engines and performance equipment.The engines availible included a 350,a 396-rated at 325,350 and 375hp and the venerable 454-rated at 390 and 450hp.It was the 454 that made the Chevelle a legend.The LS6,with 450hp and 500ft-lbf of torque would rocket this car through the 1/4 mile in low to mid 13s at 108-110 mph.This is Corvette ZR-1,Ferrari testarossa and Porsche 911 stomping ground.After 1970,the engine ratings went south quickly and 1972 would be the last of the great Chevelle SS models.With the top engine rated at 245 gross horsepower,The 1972 was a good performer,but not legendary.

I enjoy music Alot!Music gets to you!Some songs you hear bring back memories,some good some not so.Music can get you going for the day or relax you when you want to be just by yourself.Music is my getaway from the norm.Turn it up and go into your own little world for awhile and relax your worries about life.Dance around a bit,sing to the tunes,Get down and groove to the moment.Whether your out and about at a dance or a concert or just at home,Feel it.
