Missed calls.

I met this guy online that I liked. We got along well and chatted for few months then he suddenly disappeared. I did not have the chance to meet him in person. He is smart, handsome and seem to be nice down to earth guy. I really liked him but I did not think he liked me more than a friend. We lost contact for almost 6 months then when I added some credit to my ph apps the apps sent messages to my contacts that I am now using their apps. Then suddenly I got missed calls from him, several of them, but I did not return the call and never got to talk to him until recently, 5 months after his first attempt to contact me again. His reason is, he lost his phone and lost all contacts. He was able to reconnect only after the message sent by the app. Oh boy and he is now telling me he liked me from the beginning and wanted to have a relationship with me. I liked him too but ...

I still like him but only as a friend. Had he told me before our story would have been different. If I knew he liked me and I liked him then I would have tried to reconnect with him. In my mind is that perhaps he met someone and I was just some sort of a back up plan. Too late , I don't like him more than a friend now. Feelings change but there is always the what if. Moral of the story, if you like someone tell them from the start .

i had that experience once but not through missed calls...we got along so well in our chats, making plans and dreaming together...until he retired from work, then saying his mother is ill with cancer and dying, so he must always be alert for emergencies...all of a sudden he disappeared in thin air...then reappeared in this site, tried to reconnect and had the same excuse about his mother..wanted we continue but i saw through what he really wanted from me..my time and attention which he cannot reciprocate as much as i can give..he had this option of retiring in the philippines until i learned he settled for malaysia and has lived there after...a lot of excuses, i played dumb but then again...it's not my lost...i finally walked out on him...saying you know where to find me, if you.......bye!
