The Chicken Man

I heard this story from one of Les Brown's video and it touched me so much that I can't help but share it. Hoping that some people may learn from it. For details and more inspiration you can find it on google.

The story is about a man who everybody knows as chicken man. He has a feather on his hat , a toy chicken on top of his car. He drives around his car and when he get out he carries 2 dolls and a picture of a woman. When people say something to him or came near him he makes the sound of a chicken. People laugh at him. They did know his story.

Chicken man story started when he woke up one morning around 3:00 am and his house was on fire, he panicked, got out of the window and left quickly. When he got out he heard his wife and screaming for help. He ran back to the door but the flame was too big and he couldn't get in. He was desperate and frantic but unable to do anything. Then the screaming and crying stopped.

His brother in-law came and grabbed him, started beating him while saying "you chicken, why did you not saved my sister and my nieces? YOU'RE CHICKEN, YOU'RE CHICKEN!" When people came and asked him "are you alright?" Chicken man looked at them and started making the chicken noise.

He never ever able to overcome the tragedy.

We all react differently to tragedies , some temporarily but others permanently . Before we judge anyone, let's find out their stories first. Don't let tragedy destroy lives but instead build unto it. If you're facing a challenge don't stop, continue to move.

Running away doesn't make you a chicken but staying stuck with your tragedy or your bad habits or unproductive self makes you a chicken man.
