Detoxify and be happy.

Toxins or poisons are known to be harmful but there are some toxins that has been known to be useful in small doses, ie botulinum toxin which is the toxin used in botox injections that paralyzes the muscle and makes one wrinkle free and look younger. The key is small doses. On the other hand too much of what we think is good could be toxic or harmful to our bodies or our lives. A recent example is my 's skin condition. He has been suffering from severe eczema and lately acne. I have taken him to many doctors and have used many creams and medicines for years to no avail. Finally I decided to make a drastic move, I had enough of it. I have to detoxify him. So at the start of the year there was no milk, meat, seafoods, eggs and processed food for him. All the good food he likes. All he ate for a month now are fruits and vegetables with some bread and rice. The result? Not a surprise I was right, all his eczema and acne improved, about 80% gone with no medications. He just need to control or get rid of what was toxic to his skin and voila! I know he can't be without those food forever so eventually we will let him have his fave food but in moderation.

There are physical signs and symptoms of chemical or biological poisoning. Some are outright obvious like vomiting, loss of consciousness but some are subtle like feeling tired, confused or lethargy. There are toxins in our lives too. The signs may not be obvious but often the causes are usually known to us but we often deny or ignore these causes. One of the outcome of poisoning in our lives is unhappiness. All the good things we have or do may be unknowingly toxic to our lives. Even some people can be toxic to us. Our habits and our behaviors may be poisoning others or our relationships. Even being too nice can be toxic. Have you heard of toxic niceness? Are you too nice to the point that you are taken for granted and treated like a doormat? Then your niceness is a poison to you. Do you have a bad habit that you know is harming you or the people around you? Are you unhappy and seek happiness from someone else or do you think that someone is making you unhappy? Do you lack energy or motivation?

If you think you have toxins in your life and it's making you unhappy then do something. You may need to take drastic move to get rid of that poison to detoxify your life. Start with your body, get moving, get fit , get healthy. Second perhaps your home. Clean up, get rid of clutter or maybe even move out. Next your mind, do not let worry, be it a person or problem occupy your mind. Think beautiful, be creative, get a hobby, keep your mind busy with something worthwhile. Detox your social life too, get out and socialize with people that treats you well. Good people. Last but not the least detox your finances either get a job, save up or spend those money. If you have been too frugal all your life you need to treat yourself and spend the money on you. Any other suggestions on how to detoxify life?

Oh, if you need suggestions on how to spend those money or want someone to spend them with, count me in.

It is known that too much of anything is a poison. Live life to the fullest but do it moderately.

I agree with you tajane. It is easier said than done though because we are so used to many additives in our food .The natural ones are genetically modified too. Best I guess is to raise and grow your own food then you can be sure what you get, to be self sufficient is my personal ideal.
