Let`s Go Bananas!!

I read this week an article on a blog talking about bananas. I find it interesting so I would like to share with you.

Mention bananas and I'll tell you you're going bananas.
And it's true, I found out that it's very good for the brain. Bananas are a sort of magic medicine.

For instance, for the brain, to calm you down, for the nervous system because it has vitamin B, for depression, for constipation, for blood pressure, for morning sickness.
Even for mosquito bites, bananas will help reduce the swelling.

For overweight people, bananas help control blood sugar and craving for sweets.

By now, I thought it would stop because it covers many areas of health. But no, the article goes on and on. For ulcers, because it helps cover the lining of the stomach and reduces irritation. And imagine temperature control!

According to the article, bananas are good also for seasonal affective disorders. Do you think the whole of Kuwait should go and eat bananas to avoid the depression of sand and dust storms of the last two weeks? You open the window in the morning to see the sun and the whole earth around you is orange and dusty. You immediately close the windows and feel like you want to crawl back into bed and hide from the day. Do you think bananas can help us?

And look at that. Also for smoking and tobacco users!
Then the Arab and the Third World should be number one consumers of bananas. OK, stress is similar to depression.
Strokes, just imagine it. People who eat bananas have a 40 percent less chance of dying from a stroke!

Last and not least, warts. To avoid having these ugly swellings, rub them with a piece of the banana skin.

Eat the banana first!

So much more to bananas than just peeling it.

I love having it for snacks as it's easy to peel.

Don't forget to throw banana skin in the waste container, trash can or rubbish to avoid litter and prevent accidents.

within each one of us, and let it begin with me (and each one of us)..one breath at a time.

Gracey,

If an apple a day keeps the doctor away, 2 bananas a day will keep the doctor come 'round again..

My stomach and my entire digestive system has a small tolerance for bananas. I'll miss the loo for 1day - 1banana/ 2days - 2bananas.. so on....I'll have strawberry and pineapple pls.

Gracey,

Bananas can also be a laxative for many coz its fiber-ed. Works for me contra though there is one variety that works good for me, Cavendish. Sadly, its not available in our market. Oh well, there's aplenty of other fruits, I can try saresa, yantok, buli among others.

Thank you missy. You take care now. Mwahhhhhh...

Good for you sis. Germany is very good at recycling. It's so cool that they encourage it. People can recycle plastic bottles and convert it to points for shopping.

I don't like litter bugs and like to recycle.

Bananas are biodegradable, so it ain't too bad if it's thrown in soil, but not on the ground. You can use it for compost and fertilizing. The same for teabags and other food wastes.
