burial or cremation

[SIZE 3]
A checklist of the basic advantages and disadvantages of burial and cremation.

Current statistics indicate that an increasingly large number of individuals are choosing cremation over burial. Obviously, there are advantages and disadvantages to both choices. Some of these are listed below.

Burial

Advantages:

Religious tradition
Family tradition
A place to return to and to care for which can give comfort to the survivors
A place for a permanent memorial to be erected

Disadvantages:

More expensive due to required land fees

Cremation

Advantages:

Is usually less expensive
Offers more flexibility for service options
Saves land
The remains can be scattered or buried at a later date.

Disadvantages:

Can leave survivors with fewer ways to mourn.

>>what is ur choice? death is inevitable. planning required.

I once posted this blog in my previous handle. Because my mom wanted to be cremated coz the cost was way too high for burial. Paid with my life saving and that was it. Besides my dad wouldn't have it any other way!!!
hi tess.. one particular reason why i decided on cremation is cost and whetehr we accept it or not, people nowadays always have reasons for not being able to drop by even during all saint's day. people are so busy. thnx.

tama ka antonio. actually i was planning to secure memorial lot for my future resting place. but when i visited the cemetery, it has occupied a wider and higher space, that sometimes some forgotten niche were stepped upon. now i would want to be cremated and part of my dust be flown into the waters of the sea..
