Nostalgia Throwbacks, waybacks, trending now everywhere. You got to haul old pix, old mementos, old whatnots, even old memories into mainstream again. Why not? After reunions with families and friends the last holiday season - nostalgic it was. Even the old songs resurfacing, same old lyrics, tho' new melodies and new artists. Maybe you may have used the wordings to your love letters back in high school or college days - and put a smile on someone else's lips. Or maybe a smirk  For some reasons, this song summed all my life then: Times of your life by Paul Anka  Good morning yesterday, you wake up and time has slipped away.. and suddenly its hard to find, the memories you left behind.. remember, do you remember? The laughter and the tears, the shadows of misty yester-years the good times and the bad you've seen, and all the others in between..remember, do you remember? the times of your life. One of my faves Theta. The good ones I'll never forget. good memories never fade. I smile when they come to mind. The bad ones are buried under the dust they resurface when someone steps on it but they don't affect me much because they're behind. Look forward to tomorrow. Better days are here again ! I'm a senior citizen . Don't expect me to remember anything

Tajane, Nahh an old excuse to get back here hehehe...seriously to prove the pundits wrong that whenever you get out of here (temporarily or permanently) there's a love affair in the offing. Could it be elseways? Sometimes you just have to rest for what you love to do: writing's my first love but I got other first love too In all the while I wasn't here, I finished about 12books (4 Steve Berry, 3 Sidney Sheldon, 2 Mary H. Clark, 2 Michael Palmer and 1 Gabriel G. Marquez) not to mention my 'little delight' that changed my concept of time. I can't promise to be visible often but I cannot stay away from here (in the virtual world) for long. We'll have so much to catch up when we meet in Baguio. Hmm..about M. McG. Is there something more behind the scenes? Hmmm...

Thanks Iris. I missed you all here thats saying fairly. I guess we all can relate to this song even the younger ones here. Bring so much fond memories especially of my late father humming this song when driving or cooking, or just frolicking around the house. There's so much beautiful memories, but like departed loved ones- it can only be remembered.

Even they would answer 'bakit di tayo nagkasalubong?' They will have their own memories very soon, and they will understand what you and I wished them to know..the same way we learned what our elders wished us to know then. All in time.. Thanks Ran for the comment

I was in High School, I believe when that song was a super hit, and each time I hear it when I come home to the Philippines, there is a pinch of pain in my heart....Very nice though...  ELZ
