Black & White Magic

Magic is a means of bringing about good or evil, involving supernatural powers. Magic is thus bringing about results beyond man's own power by cooperation with superhuman agencies.

Divine Magic
The way the miraculous in religious practice is sometimes defined adds to the confusion between what is religion and what is magic.
Natural Magic
Here the power is simply cause and effect. This is also referred to as thaumaturgy, the abilitiy to so manipulate means that produce miraculous results. It is further separated into two divisions. One is "conscious natural magic". In this instance a magic ritual precipitates a psychic push which makes the magic energy flow. In unconscious natural magic there is no psychic power involved. In this case the performance of a ritual will induce the flow of magic energy.
White Magic
The art claimed by good witches, invokes good powers and/or spirits to accomplish good purposes. It is also called Theurgy, the aim of which is to bring man into contact with beings more spiritual than himself to bring virtue down to this lower world. The practitioner of white magic serves mankind in those difficult-to-resolve problems in human experience.
Black Magic
The purpose of black magic is malevolent, and the kind of specialists sought after are usually sorcerers, wizards or shamans. They claim to know the ritual means to bring evil on others.
Homeopathic Magic
Like produces like. This effect a spell or a curse. Water may be used to bring about cleansing to counter evil magic. Sickness may be carried away by the same means.
Magic By contagion
What is done to the one must similarly affect the other. Any human part, clothing or other object associated with the intended recipient is used.
