The best way to avert this crisis is to keep busy with worthwhile projects; find something useful to do ... something that would help enrich other people's lives.

I'm far from midlife but I do have some 'crisis' situations every now & then. I try to keep myself busy with work & go out shopping, treat myself to a 'vanity' spree by going to the beauty salon, (have my nails done at least) ... if I have more extra money, I go for a beauty spa.

Hello Monyll!.....Don't worry, indulge only when we can afford it...Like I travel a lot these days...Life is short, and we really have to make the most out of it..Take care sweetie..You've got a long way to go!
