Quoting Passionate1932: Roaring flames and fire of life can burn but a fire gently fed brings comforting long lasting warmth.Taking time out to do atleast one thing special for the one you love keeps the embers going.Aging by time does not protect us from love but love does protect us from age.If warmth of love and shared relationship is seen by both the people involved with positive approach to challenges of life--not only in midlife but always-- and make amends or changes wherever and whenever necessary, perhaps the crisis or challenges could be handled and overcome together to be able to smile and sail smoothly in the sea of life.In the worst senario, it could atleast bring positive understanding of each other's approach.

I love this last part of your post, Jack..Midlife, or at any point in our lives, we really should make an effort to make the most out of it..Life, after all, is too short... Many thanks for posting my dear friend..My appreciation..I'm sure, the readers here enjoy your words of wisdom..

But Robert, people experiencing midlife crisis need to understand that eventually, we are all gonna die anyway, and having younger partners or doing strange/unusual/unconventional things will not really change that fact...It is all in our minds...I guess, somehow, people tend to realize that their "youth" passed by so quickly without them making the most of that period, and now, they want to make up for those lost time, not thinking if it is appropriate or not...But you know what? who cares?...For as long as they don't hurt others, or themselves...I'd say, why don' they just go for it?

Oh, so now, I know more about you...It's okay Robert...Blogs are meant to make the author and the readers exchange posts and vent..I'm proud to know that your EX is a nurse.....

I know what you mean by this Robert...If we could only turn back the hands of time...We want to change things, I guess...But that was then, Robert...This is now...I believe, you and her have move on significantly in your separate lives...Just make the most out of it...

Sweet Cat, Life is how we take it, and how we make it, at least, a guaranteed assumption 25% within our control. Midlife crisis can be real devastating if we do not do anything about it. I'm glad that you and Mandy are working things out to make the most of midlife and enjoy the simplicity that it offers..Your story is something that everyone should think about. It is very unique, less complicated and very inspiring...I wish you both a lifetime happiness, love and success...You know I care for you...Will call you again..PLease update me with your new numbers if any...Regards to our family...

Hello Dee, Midlife crisis went thru that with ex... He wanted a new gf, new living etc. It's just acceptance in life or not that we are getting old. You know me afraid of old age because of all the sickness. But, life has to go on. Whatever it is we have to face up to... God bless..

Hi Dee, Woke up at 3am, so been checking emails and such. Yes, we come into this world alone and the later is true too. Living life to the fullest right now at our age is a good idea. Completely agree. Smell the coffee/roses to make us feel alive. I was so glad at my eye doctor yesterday. Reassuring me that my eyes back there are healthy(dialation). He goes diabetes can be detected by eye exam when it's totally out of control. Thank God. But, he said to get a blood test. Because diabetes/high blood is in the genes. He goes none. But, getting all my check up is one thing gonna take care of before Christmas. LOL, this should have been an email going on and on. Hang in there Dee, have a gorgeous day. Just enjoy life and be happy. Don't worry. Oh, sent u a cute email. Check it out. Ok. God bless...

The best way to divert the mind from this "crisis" is to be thankful for the person we are, for the way we look, for the way we speak, for the color of our hair, our skin, our eyes.

Let us thank our creator that in the Great Plan of Life HE made us just as He wanted us to be and placed us just where He wanted us to be. Thank you God for Me!

Tess, afraid of getting old precedes the fear of dying...My thing is, no matter how much I don't want to depart in this world lonely, if no one is meant to be mine, after all that I've done, then, I will die single..I was born by myself anyway...I just have to be always thankful that I lived my life to the fullest...

Cat, with you warmth as a person who dedicates so much time and love for HVP, I do not doubt the fact that you'll not be stationary with being ranked #3...You are so compassionate and loyal and all other wonderful adjectives that describe you, so much so that HVP will continue to be UP there!..I miss you all...
