Do You Really Want It? Or Do You Need It? People keep on whining and complaining about so many things in their life that they often forget how blessed they are compared to_ the rest of the world..Specially during this time of pandemic, we cannot afford to_ be picky, to_ be wasting things specially the basic needs in life. I always told my when he used to_ live with me , NOT to_ waste on food because a lot of people hardly eat once a day. Even the bottled water which is more expensive than gasoline ( for real! ) some people just prefer to_buy from the expensive vending machine instead of bringing the ones they have from home ( bought from wholesale stores ), that, or not finishing the bottle and then, opening another one. We take so many things for granted, including relationships. We realize their importance once they are gone! You know the saying : "Somebody's trash, is somebody's fortune." So, I guess, we need to_ maximize and utilize our resources well, and know what's important, and what is not... just saying |

Let's see now if the "to" will all be deleted. I purposely did not edit it for now (maybe later)...
| ||
|
So, what's with the "TO" that FFF is so eager to delete? Just asking? even if for granted, this website is just "auto-running" without real people to manage it but just "robots"...Huh?
| ||
|
But, surprisingly though, they (FFF) do not remove the "to" in the comment box.....

|
Let me edit it once, I don't know how many times.

Oh no! more ommissions

hahaha...it takes forever editing one's post...when "to" isn't used words get ommitted..sometimes i don't even recall what words were omitted since i type straight without any drafts.. to reply to your topic, let me say..i have seen a lot of wastage in northern and eastern countries..that i think most often about the people in our country who cannot even afford to eat 3 times a day. or without full meals.. when I stayed in bahrain, i temporarily housed with my cousin, who was a nanny of the king's youngest son, every week they have rations on fruits and veggies, plus canned goods...whatever was not consumed before the new ration comes, will have to be thrown away or discarded in the trash, even if the fruits or veggies have not even rotten yet..the canned goods were simply stocked waiting to be sent home. when i stayed with my son in singapore..what they have not eaten and stored in the ref, gets thrown away as well, when the weekly marketing is done..again, a lot of wastage, that gave my heart a pinch thinking of the needy people at home..same thing here in canada..they cook so much with the orientation that it is better to have more food to eat than be scanty when one goes hungry, and still needs to cook to be able to eat..,,the result many cooked food stocked in the ref that also gets discarded...that is pre-covid and even during the covid period..i even see a whole half of cake being thrown away or groceries reaching their expiry dates inside the pantry also getting discarded..what's with these people?..i will admit they are not rich kids but need to work hard to enjoy good life...;(

Some restaurants give away left-over food to some designated needies. Some are hesitant to do so for fear of being sued if some one suffers food-poisoning from eating the food. Here in America throwing food straight what's left on the plate is the American way. Excess food after a meal go to the ref and probably stay there until some one decides to get rid of it. Here in America, people are afraid of gaining weight because of the abundance of food they can afford to buy. In the Philippines some people are underweight because of food shortage. When I was in college in Manila, I was so skinny and underweight because of shortage in nourishment. There were times when my brother and I missed a meal or two a day. My brother and I were depending on the food being sent to us from the province, from rice to cooked pork adobo; the whole "shabang". If they didn't send any, we didn't eat. It was tough. Luckily there was a corner store (owed by Mang Bert) where we can buy canned sardines and what not, on credit to while away our hunger until our allowance arrived. I loved that guy. He was my hero. So there you are. Story of my life. To sum it up, we should not take God's blessings (food especially) for granted. We should treat it with respect. Or else.....
