Is this true with most men?....
I just noticed that the men who used to_ be my so called admirers/suitors, (with whom I may have directly or indirectly, but politely rejected) appear to_ have nothing to_ do with me anymore. It doesn't matter if we remain friends or acquaintances in real life or even in FB. They don't greet me on my birthday, Christmas, Valentine's, and even offer condolences specially that my brother just died recently...I find that really disappointing...Why be my friend or why bother to_ be on my friend's list? And you know what? I am not talking about one man, but at least, 3 or 4 of them! Unbelievable! Which makes me think that I was really right in NOT having a romantic relationship with them at all...They are a bunch of "good for nothing transient lovers."

I would like to ask both Jane, other women and the men of FFF for their opinion on this matter...I am just amazed!

Being civil after a relationship means connection has not stopped but that is in a different light, nothing as being close anymore. They somehow tend to forget that once upon a time they have asked or wanted to be a part of your life. My experience in this, as you have asked, is that when my Dad died and heard news about it, former close friends (with more affection I mean) conveyed their condolences when they learned about it. Those who learned the story late, still extended their sympathies. Maybe at your end, these men found hesitance in conveying their messages, because they find you hard to reach, as you have become indifferent to them or they felt you have erased them out from your friendly listing. And it is also very possible that news had not reached them at all.

Jane, they are still my FB friends, and they are active..One of them is even a brother of my BFF  . |

Seems to be a question that is impossible to answer, and why should it be specific to men? Turn things upside down, inside out and see what answer you might expect. Yet it did make me think of someone, once could have been. Why have she and I stopped communicating?
