My favorite transportation

I can remember my very first trip to the Philippines. The biggest thing I was warned about was to watch out for the trike drivers. I did exactly that, each time I visited, I stayed away from them. A few years later, I found myself living in the Philippines, and it didn't take me long to find out that they were my neighbors, my friends, and at times...a God send. There were times they got me home, and I didn't even know I got home. There were times they watched my house for me to ensure that no one was breaking in. They invited me into their homes, their lives and their families. They did all this, asking for nothing in return except my friendship. They were not the evil people I was led to believe, but hard working family men just trying to survive some desperate times. They were indeed just like everyone else that I had met in the Philippines....some of the greatest people in the world.
