Janey, When i was a kid was compared to others and ridiculed. Like my flat nose, even put those clothes pin on my nose. As i think of it now it cracks me up. Being an ugly duckling growing up. Thank God i wasn't born rich and tried to re toke my nose. Through the years accepted my own uniqueness and just be happy. Like getting foot massage the other nite. But, for the first time the masseuse lady massage my tummy. Then gave me cold water my tummy ached??? Weird. There is true beauty from within...happy sunday'te Greatest feelings in the world when two souls profess a love for each other...

It becomes easier when I can make amends. Wrinkles and laughter lines presents itself like a map of our journey etched in our faces to say how well someone has lived. For men wrinkles is somehow more flattering on them. I think for women we could learn to come to terms with wrinkles too and see them accentuating our features in a flattering manner rather than something to hide through attitude. I go to the saloon only to get my hair cut or to add colour occasionally appealing to my creative side and enjoy the pleasure of getting massaged on the head and body if I'm lucky. Never had a manicure or pedicure or any other weird salon treatment.

Ingatz. muahss It's clear you are happy with the way you are and don't need anything too fancy to get noticed. It helps too that the opposite sex appreciates your natural Filipina beauty in return. It can add to your confidence. Take care too.

Really Antonio? Surprised didn't think you needed to use those products, especially being a man as it can make you more attractive to show your wrinkles. You know women appreciate the simple look too as much as men. You must've been able to afford the expense before and you might be cutting back now to redistribute your money for other things. Wish I could've a body and foot massage more often. I've had it 3 times ever. I can only afford a proper massage more often if I live in the Philippines. It's much cheaper to have it done there and so many types of massages. A former blogger took me to a Thai massage place, it was heavenly and the best massage I've had in a warm atmosphere with mint vapours infiltrating the rooms and a warm oil foot wash was done beforehand.

Yeh eating healthy is a challenge here abroad. They aren't always fresh or natural and full of MSG. It's nice to dream about cooking tinola and eating malunggay. There's plenty of those in the garden of our house in Pinas. I don't mind cooking for myself as it means nobody gets in the way, but it's much more fulfilling when you've someone to share your food and enjoy it. It's good to read you've something to say after all. I'll stop calling you manong or kuya in case it makes you feel old.

Don't know why she did it. So glad you didn't have to resort to retoke. Sometimes plastic surgery may make you look odd or go wrong.

A tummy massage with cold water? Haven't tried it. Hope the ache is gone 'te.

hahaha Scotsman you aren't so bad afterall you guys are such a troll sometimes, but I can't take you seriously. Wow your ex gfs must smell of calamansi. At least they smell fresh and clean. It could also be an odour neutraliser. The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence huh?? What we have, we overlook and what we don't have, we might want to gain. I'm shocked and appalled at how much whitening products there are. Didn't realise it was such a huge business. It's funny again how injections can either whiten or add tan.

Haven't tried a whitening product, except a facial cleanser which had it. I only wanted a cleanser, but didn't read the small print. I read that women wear make-up to accentuate the physical features that men find attractive. How come the same doesn't apply to men? I guess it's a way to differentiate men and women and as well as support that in their early years, men rates physical appearance more than women sometimes. While youth is associated with pro-creation. I suppose it's partly competitive too to be old in age, but appear young and "hot" and you still got it to bag a partner. While women may do the same, they may find it more desirable to find a loyal and good-hearted man who will provide stability. There are many soaps claiming to whiten skin in Pinas. It's odd how the same brand of soap exist here in the U.K., but it doesn't need to claim to whiten skin because they want the opposite and simply claim to clean and be PH neutral. When mom started to run out of things to give to anyone remotely related to us. It was hilarious when gave different types of soaps she was keeping for the family and then claimed that they were good for the skin and whitens even though it doesn't, because it's what they wanted. We'd a theory that because our family are fairer, maybe they think it'll do the same for them.

To copy Chitae ganda lalaki. You know what disturbs me are men or boys and sometimes fellow females who are freaked out by the sight of females with hair in places they expect to be shaved or waxed. Thus hence leads to young girls aspiring to be hairless. Men are getting in the act too. Butt, sack and crack.

Everyday is so wonderful Then suddenly It's hard to breathe Now and then I get insecure From all the pain I'm so ashamed I am beautiful No matter what they say Words can't bring me down I am beautiful In every single way Yes words can't bring me down Oh no So don't you bring me down today To all your friends you're delirious So consumed In all your doom, ooh Trying hard to fill the emptiness The pieces gone Left the puzzle undone Ain't that the way it is You're beautiful No matter what they say Words can't bring you down Oh no You're beautiful In every single way Yes words can't bring you down Oh no So don't you bring me down today No matter what we do (No matter what we do) No matter what we say (No matter what we say) We're the song inside the tune (Yeah, oh yeah) Full of beautiful mistakes

Janey, I have had my younger days when I looked a lot different, because I was super skinny. I flaunted my 21-inch waistline, and a 34+ hips, all framed in my 103 lbs body. My face was never my asset and I wasn't insecure in anyway about it. Even now that I am "full bodied", I still do the same non-ritualistic face and body care. I am actually BAD!...I eat unhealthy foods, although I exercise by doing zumba. I am a golden girl, for heaven's sake! But I am happy the way I look. I even sleep with my make up on (that bad!)I have age spots, and skin pigments, but I do use make up to improve my looks, specially when there's a party to attend. Other than that, I am confident going to places in denim shorts, without make up, with a "who cares?" attitude!..I am not obsessed with the skin whiteners, anti-wrinkles, what and what not. I even have them, but I rarely use them, God knows, if they really work ...Like I said, I AM NOT READY FOR BELO (yet)
