i do agree it takes many forms and that itself is not a problem as long as it doesn't harm anyone else

Jane, devotees, I would say, from my point of view are those who inherited the faith from their family as a tradition. Their faith were instilled to them in their young minds and they carry it on as the age. The fanatics, even though their faith is very strong, for me, it connotes a negative impact, and that of having faith in exchange of a miracle...or the reason for the faith is based on an expected miracle or an event/experience believed to be the outcome of a miracle. Devotees are more deep in terms of understanding that no matter what happens in life, God has better plans for mankind. OF course, that is just my own opinion....
