That is very true Jane. There are so many things that we are blessed with. We should focus on that. Bitterness and envy are not going to take us anywhere peaceful. Enjoy your day. By the way, can you please update me with your latest addy and cp number and PM me on the other side? Thanks.

Meann, I must admit, I was rotten spoiled when I was a child, being that I am the youngest in the family. Thankfully, I am the total opposite of what I was when I grew up. I am actually, almost self-less. I share even the food that I am about to put into my mouth, and I have so much compassion to the less fortunate. But you are absolutely right! Loving and giving in the child's whims unreasonably can make him/her selfish and always wanting to be the first, the winner, and always the one on top. THe frustration threshold is very low, However, like you said, if it comes with discipline and explanation from the parents that it is alright to lose sometimes, to others, but always aim to win the next time around. My grandnephew who is not even 5 years old yet has that " I, ME, and MYSELF" concept, that of being in need of being the FIRST, and the WINNER all the time...We are slowly teaching him to give way to others, while he has not fully developed that negative personality. It can be very embarrassing when in public at times. I advised my niece on what to do.

Uncontrolled competitiveness is not healthy , like in my blog before titled Cancer, competing is one of the metastasizing emotional cancer. If uncontrolled it spreads and ruin relationship even life, the others are complaining, criticizing, contending and comparing. Too much of anything is harmful anyway. I agree there are always above us and there are always that are below us . “Use the quotation for the occasion; do not make an occasion for the quotation.”

I've been gone to long from this website. I didn't know they even made changes to the format. But anyway as to this blog, we should compete only with ourselves and of course the casinos in Vegas . I'm a senior citizen . Don't expect me to remember anything
