Thank you I’ve been wondering around when I find myself setting in a bench alone and no one to talk to. I look around and roam my eyes in the endless desert as far as my eyes can achieve. I reflect a moment and said to me, “what a darn life would it be without someone besides you.” I look back the memories I had in my gray matter (actually I have green) and just telling me, “my granny was right, in the end you’ll be on your own. No friends, nothing, just simply you, and you alone.” Soon enough after the special occasions has ended some of your friends will have their own life and family. Few will be there and in the end it would turn to nothing but your special someone. The friend, the grandmother, and the companion of your life that you had chose (if things will work out as you have expected it). The companion that you chose which give meaning to your existence. Someone that gives glow in the darkest hour of your lifetime. The one that gives you hope when everybody gives up on you. The one that prays for your safety and fulfillment or success rather than her/his self. The one that’s think of you first rather than his/her. The pair of the slippers in your journey in this so called life. The one who made your dreams walk in this earth. You may say it’s so selfish but that’s love. Sacrifice is the greatest virtue of love. You’d die to give life. It will not become selfish if you know how to reciprocate and appreciate that love. “Simple things means a lot” but sometimes little things are commonly ignored and being look upon when its already gone and you can’t even say your thank. Simple things that money can’t buy but brought happiness if being look upon. A simple smile in a worse day, a simple kiss which brought warm in a stressful work, someone you knows who listen from dawn till dusk just for you to release those burden when nobody care, the one who appreciate your work when no one seems to notice, the one who ask your day because they care, the glimpse from the other side of the room just to check if your ok, the one who holds your hand across the street which tells you “I’m here and your safe”, the one who wish to watch you over while your sleeping. When is the last time we saw this things with those people around us? Have you said thank you for it? When is the last time you say “I love you” that tears simple slipped by without you knowing it because you really mean the phrase. It’s not that late, you still have time. If not now, then when? When it was too late for us to return the favor, when they can’t hear us anymore, when they are all fed up and wants to leave for they are being ignored besides those sacrifices they had made? You should be happy right now for you have someone besides you in your bench. The bench that was made for two.
