Dissociative Identity Disorder
Surrounded by an audience of shadows
As the lights dim focusing on one figure
Laughter roared then she performs
Tumbling, rolling, jumping up and down
Covering the entirety of the empty hall

Finished now and kneels on one knee
First clenched then pounding the floor
All the shadows rise, laughing, applauding

The imaginary crowd all gone now
The tortured performer alone
Sits atop her worn out costumes
Her hands shaking while holding up
Her heavy head as she stands
Her make up streams so silently
From her eyes that stare into emptiness

She snorts a quick, disgusted laugh, turns
Listens to her footsteps echoing louder
Then the shrieking siren begins...

 This reminds me of a shrieking banshee.

 Are you referring to the Banshee in Ireland? Don't worry as according to tradition, the banshee can only cry for five major Irish families: the O'Neills, the O'Briens, the O'Connors, the O'Gradys and the Kavanaghs. INTERMARRIAGE has since extended the select list but has not reached the Philippines yet.

 I am ummmm tied somewhere to those families,yikes. Hmmm your knowledge is good. In ancient times it was the woman that raised you at birth and grieved for you at death by custom,so the Banshee is a woman from that Matrilinial period. The Banshee is not evil per see,so I have no fear if I hear it,presently I am used to Lynne's witchy laughter and Cez's Nagging Wail..so guess the Banshee is quiet in comparrison to those two,heh.
