Betrayal The gist of the morning homily today is about the betrayal of Judas. He sold our Christ for pieces of silver. We all know he couldn't bear the sin he committed so he took his own life to stop feeling guilty. Betrayal is about a loss, a loss of trust, in fact. You lose your faith and confidence in a person, which is a sentiment that is hardest to accept and cope with. It can result in a trauma, that takes away your sane thinking. Betrayal accounts for disloyalty and disclosure of what is kept as a secret. Someone who prioritizes self-interest over the welfare of another is another form of betrayal. Who wants to have a spouse or a partner cheating on you? Or this person who constantly lies to you? Would you accept a friend stabbing your back? Ergo, allow me to ask, have you ever been betrayed during your lifetime? |

The saying that familiarity breeds contempt is a situationer common between best friends. Betrayal in this kind of relationship is hard to forget and sometimes even forgive. We are only humans, often said as well.

I call that human intervention. You cannot stop a secret being known when you have revealed it to someone and tell that it is a secret. The itch to kiss and tell will always be paramount especially to someone, who is "chismosa/o." It is best to keep it yourself.
