TRAVEL PLANS ANYONE


When I was 8 years old because I excelled
I was fielded join a declamation contest
The poem was about a family of twelve
I won this prize t'was a book of beautiful sites
Countries shown in photos tho' black and white
It was my first time to see Niagara Falls so wide
Its expanse strong e'er flow of currents or tides
A marvel so promise myself one day I'll visit
It was truly sad to have had a visa denied
But still continued to have this earnest
Desire to travel all the way to Buffalo where
Niagara Falls is and my oldest sibling retired
When I came to Canada I knew the border
To reach USA would somehow be possible
Niagara Falls is then nearer so is my brother
I've scheduled this travel come summer 2020
As I have had arrived Canada winter of 2019
Alas even before summer came covid invaded
The fight against covid worldwide so formidable
Could no longer go with the travel ban enforced
Niagara Falls continued to be a long time dream
My years are dwindling I still am hoping like you
Travel to countries visiting sites until I can still do
I added to my dream this companion to be with
No fun doing it alone to share admire beauties
Where nature can be so dauntingly outstanding
I will surely wait for this one item in my bucket list.

 I love to travel. Two of my pre-paid travels (one to the Philippines last April and a pilgrimage to Oberammergau ,Germany-Poland last June) was placed on hold. Both have a timetable of 2 years to redeem. I have traveled to Las Vegas, and Arizona a couple of times this year, because those are the areas that are not so strict here in the USA...Other than that, I can only dream for now.

so far all we have is anxiety although our apprehensions are being reduced a bit, but the worry is still great to contend with..would you believe i have not even gone out of edmonton and it's been almost a year..would love to see banff and lake louise in in calgary as my first priorities..well, good luck to our future travels then..meanwhike, enjoy your weekend!

 hi Ta Jane , it's nice to read new blogs again. . Travel plans? Definitely, however with covid in our midst..it hinders the plans. Been wanting to gift myself a Holy Land pilgrimage but I guess need to reschedule according to God's perfect timing. .Have a wonderful Christmas season. Stay safe and be careful. God bless.

Hello Monet! it's a good feeling to have to see old faces and friends on blogland. Been awhile since the last time, with more time to lull and to make the mind refresh and active, I truly need to blog again..I am sure we all have been making travel plans regulary pre-covid times and because we have been kept doing from implementing it, due to covid, the desire is double this time..we shall have to give ourselves a good pat once it can be safe again, to do that one item or more from our bucket list..

You and family also have an enjoyable Christmas season. Our Lord will always provide for us and that we keep thinking HE will protect us because we love HIM as much as HE loves us .
