Honesty Above All Things

I am above all things an honest man, I will not lie because the truth may hurt your feelings, or because it will make my life easier. The only way that I know of to prove this is with time, no one admits they lie, so I have to accept this and waste my time talking and getting to know someone in order for me to know if they lie. In my fifty-fives years I have not found anyone who values honesty as I do, sometimes it is acceptable to me and I will remain friends with this person, but, I will not just go along as if nothing has changed, I tell them they have lost my trust and why, then come the excuses, the indignation, and my favorite is when they blame me, because everyone does it and I should change. LOL! I have no desire to change, to learn to lie or to learn to accept lies, or to waste more of my time explaining why, I just don't! Oh well just venting here, hope everyone has a great day, jim
