I may be reserved when initially meeting someone new, but once I'm comfortable with that person, I do open up, have a good sense of humor (OK, maybe this profile isn't the best example), and am very affectionate. Most people tell me that I look younger than my age, and I know that I certainly don't act it. I try to keep myself fit by jogging everyday, and I also like to go hiking and bicycling. I love to travel - I thrive on new experiences, meeting new people, and connecting with the world. I've become a lot more adventurous in recent years - I just got back from the Amazon (just amazing), and have also traveled to South Africa and Eastern Europe. I enjoy doing anything that looks fun and interesting - concerts, tours, wine tasting, art exhibits, festivals, etc. However, I can also be happy just relaxing at home - reading, listening to music, watching a DVD, or having a friend over.
I may not be changing my image, but I have changed careers. I have a very unusual and possibly unique resume - I previously was a dentist, but I'm now an IT developer. I've had people tell me that they thought it was very courageous (while others have questioned my sanity), but why go through life being unhappy? You might as well enjoy it while you can - you're going to be dead for a very long time :-)

I don't enjoy the mindless chitchat that comes with the casual dating of many different people. I'm looking for a committed, intimate relationship with one warm, caring, easygoing woman - my best friend for life.
