I have a very special 12-year-old that keeps me very active and "young" Although I've turned 52 this year, I don't act or look that way. We are both into golf,karate, mountain bike riding and work out at the gym 2/3 times a week. Love the beach (any time of year) and love animals especially dogs. I appreciate nature - bush walks- beaches- walking/cuddling/kissing on rainy days, watching sunsets/moonrises. I'm musical -although out of practice; in the past I've been an amateur with the guitar, violin and even bagpipes!!! That's because I'm Scottish!! As a Scot I have a great sense of humour and we like to laugh at ourselves. I'm very at ease speaking with people of all types and my job requires it. I've studied hoeopathic medicine as an interest over the years and spent too much time fixing cars and finishing DIY projects. (good with my hands !!)
Originally an Engineer by profession, I travelled the world for 10 years as a Marine Engineer Officer, before emigrating to Australia and eventually moving to NZ 14 years ago. It was very easy to settle here in NZ- it's like Scotland with added palm trees and sunshine. I still love the sea and will have my own boat someday!! Love going fishing.
On board ship I worked and lived with people of all nationalities and religions 24 hours a day and never found any one nation that had the monopoly on "goodness" or "badness" we are all just people!!
At the moment I'm running my own business as a management consultant and auditor, specialising in health and safety management and just getting started in property investment. I would consider myself a sensitive, romantic and emotional man who likes being in a relationship. I was married for 22 faithful years and demonstrated committment through some tough times. I'm quite slim with an 80 cm waist, 70 Kgs, still have all my own teeth!! and a full head of brown curly hair (when it's not cut short) with just a touch of grey creeping in at the sides to signify maturity!!!! I have green eyes with long lashes and thick eye brows. I'm an old fashioned gentleman and a considerate lover!!
I'm a "touch-a-holic" and like to express affection (in private or public) and have no problem discussing my innermost feelings with my partner. As a single dad- I have learned to handle the domestic chores necessary and although I'm masster chef- I have managed to achieve sufficient kitchen skills to feed us so far. I do a great sheperds pie and a reasonable stir fry!!
