Welcome to my web page/profile, with some pix and info about me. I'm looking for slim ladies (23-32) with similar interests. I enjoy both warm, romantic activities with the right lady such as a quite dinner (dining inside our outside), also active outdoor activities such as riding my motorcycle, snow skiing, scuba, snorkeling, or just sitting on a beautiful beach, hopefully in the near future with a wonderful lady. I have spent an enormous amount of time/money doing these outdoor activities in the past ten years with my (not so much the "sitting on the beach - they like to move around LOTS) who live with my ex-wife on the west coast. Now I'd like to try doing them for my own enjoyment with a wonderful lady.
I also enjoy solitude with activities like reading and time on the internet exploring, responding to & initiating e-mails - these activities can be work related (ie. self help or work related books & websites) or simply for enjoyment (ie. fiction, science fiction). I'm conservative philosophically and wouldn't want as my date a strong liberal (I'm looking for a compatible friend not a debate partner). I've run/owned several businesses (at the same time) over the past 20 years, focusing more on my during the past ten years. Its time for some change in my life, so if you who are reading this right now are the right lady, I'd like to focus on you more (and my less) for the next few (or more) years.
I have enjoyed being a father, a husband, and owning businesses for the past 20+ years. Have been divorced for 12 years, have had great fun with my (who live in California while I've lived in Virginia and now in PA) for those years doing all kinds of great things but enough of that, its time to think of my future with the right lady, and time to explore what's out there and more important, who's out there.
Now I'm looking forward to enjoying myself with someone special. I've done tae kwon do (including some time as a partner in a studio and teaching), scubadiving (PADI Rescue Diver certified & over 150 dives), speedboating, snorkeling, lake-houseboating (a variety of LARGE houseboats, ie. Sleeps 8, and others that sleep 20) snow skiing, snowmobiling (recently 1x), motorcycling (I own a Honda 750 shadow) and just plain sitting on a nice beach with a book and perhaps in the near future, with a wonderful lady to look at/chat with more than the book.
I love reading: science fiction, action-adventure, fiction and self improvement books especially. Have been a big fan of Star Wars, Lord of the Rings movies. Enjoy country-western music (sometimes I like to wear jeans, 30xxx stetsons & boots), oldies music. Sitting at home and watching a movie works for me sometimes too, tho I can't stand the idea of "watching TV" (where you just sit like a boob in front of the boob tube for hours). I would rather watch Fox channel and Bill O'Reilly or Sean Hannity instead of just flipping channels to see "whats on."
I'm traditional Catholic and have attended church, would prefer to see someone who is either Catholic or Catholic-friendly. I wouldn't call myself a "gourmet" cook but I do enjoy cooking especially using the barbecue grill. I spend time on the computer every day, more and more using the internet (e-mail, etc.) to conduct my business instead of doing it all in person as in the past. I also love computer games, though I haven't had time for it for some years.
I've been on the Atkins diet for about 6 months, have lost 45 pounds (from 215 down to 170) and 8 inches off the waistline (35 inch waist). I dont mind watching people eat spaghetti, potatoes, rice and bread but I dont. I still need to get back into the exercise habit which I've been out of since I stopped taking and later teaching tae kwon do. I've also enjoyed photography: in the past I've photographed my with all of the activities we've done together. I've also enjoyed some portrait photography and photographing pretty ladies (outdoors and inside with nice studio lighting).
I recently moved to York, PA area and am not at all familiar with the area. I have enjoyed nights out dancing with some lady friends (not romantic but just friends) on occasion. A nice romantic dinner from time to time would be great, eating in or out. Dinner and a movie is old fashioned but still great.
I believe in the old fashioned values like holding a door open for a lady, and am willing to extend myself to be certain my partner is enjoying herself both in and out of bed.
Professionally, I'm trying to get away from hyper-business activity, meetings, and the myriad of details associated with being the leader of a variety of active corporations. I am working instead on searching for sharp people to delegate these tasks to, step aside from all the front line business activities, and instead get back to writing, which I have done very well and which is far more profitable for me and my associates. I've been President and Board Chairman of corporations and it has been fun but takes away too much freedom, I'd rather have a bit less money for the short term while getting into the habit of writing more, and then make more money later. There are only a few good direct response writers and I'm blessed to be one of them. Spending my time with the right lady on activities we both enjoy (in & out of bed) and writing is what I'd like to be spending more of my time doing in the future.
Im comfortable financially but have never really recovered (financially) from the 12 years ago divorce, that is, I have not accumulated any wealth for fear of provoking a possible problem with the ex, ie. If Ive got nothing then theres nothing for lawyers to argue over. I really need to overcome that attitude and am beginning to work on it now. Up until now Ive always had enough money to do whatever it is I wanted (or felt I needed) to do, ie. rent a houseboat for my & guests that sleeps 25+ (including all of the friends my want to bring), rent a speedboat and several smaller boatsa and feed 25+ guests for 3-4 days on Lake Shasta. Now its time to start saving money and also spending money for my own benefit and future instead of only focusing on business and on my (now mostly grown up) . That future especially includes finding the right, wonderful lady.
Dislikes: I can't stand plastic ladies with nice smiles who are phony as can be, or ladies who are way way too insecure. While I'm not looking for an athlete, somebody who is scared to death to try at least snorkeling and breathhold diving (and maybe later scuba diving?), or scared of riding on my motorcycle, or doing anything active, would be a negative to me. I'd like to see somebody at least 10-20 years younger than me so I can be fairly sure she won't have difficulty getting "out and about" and being active. But the other end of the spectrum is a turnoff too, ladies who are too full of themselves, arrogant, cocky, super athletes or gym-jocks. Balance is what I learned is very important in downhill skiing, tae kwon do and scuba diving. I'm working on that for myself and would like to get to know a lady who isn't too far off-balance in either direction.
I can't stand the bar scene because there just seems to be so much imbalance there. Some of my lady friends who I've gone dancing with tell me that the guys want to buy you one drink and hop into bed right away, no time to really get to know anybody at all and so many guys make them feel so cheap by their lunging right away for the bedroom. Id hate to start right out with someone who is wondering from the outset whether Im just like all those fellows.
My Ideal Person
Ideal Person: Am looking for the right lady (23-32) who has some things in common with me to enjoy doing and talking about, philosophically, spiritually and interests. I dont care whether the wonderful lady Im looking for is experienced handling money, travel and all of the things I enjoy and am describing here. But it is important that she be comfortable in these areas and enjoy SOME of these activities, ie. not feel threatened because I like to take time to read every day. I am not looking for somebody my own age but preferably someone a bit younger, ie. 20s or 30s would be best.
I dont want to ignore the importance and fun of sex. But without the total package Ive described here, that would a lot of short term fun (which is great!!) but it wouldn't lead to anything, no future. If you like SOMETHING on my list (above) please let me know, please contact me and tell me about it and lets see whether we might get together. I'd especially prefer petite, thin ladies with smaller breasts, who can write a coherent e-mail to express themselves and explain a little bit about their likes and dislikes and why what they have read here about me might be of interest to them.
