Hi, My name is Gary and I am 6"3"tall. I have been a single dad since my wife died in 1989. My was only 1 at the time. I am also once divorced after a very short (4 mo) marriage. We can talk more about that when we meet. I think I was trying to provide my with a mother, and maybe was in too much of a rush. Obviously, it was a big mistake. But that was a long time ago

My profile picture is from 3 years ago. My mother recently passed away (at the ripe old age of 94), and I attended to her care on a full time basis every day for 6 months till she passed away. That - and the stress - resulted in some unwanted weight gain. My goal for 2012 is to lose all that weight and look more like the tall, slender man I have always been!
Do you like to dance? I haven't danced for quite a few years now - but there was a time when I could do pretty much any dance step with ease. I figure it's time for me to dust off my dancing shoes! Dancing is great exercise and gives the lady a great excuse to wear a pretty dress!
When I asked friends and family (who are VERY important to me) how I should describe myself, they said - happy, friendly, loyal, trustworthy, kind, patient, generous, caring, honest - to that I should add that I am non-judgmental and try to see the best in people.
I don't have a but I like dogs/animals. I enjoy quiet evenings sharing good conversation over a drink or watching a movie. I take pleasure in the simple things of life.
I enjoy entertaining and consider myself a fair cook. I have been fortunate to have many guy friends who have provided me with wonderful support and caring over the years. I often have them over for a TV sporting event or BBQ/movie night.
My is now 23 and it seems he is away more then he is home these days...I know the time is right for me to find a kind and loving lady.

I would enjoy visiting the uk again, but I would also like to visit Europe,Republic of the Philippines, cruise through Russia, take a river trip in Viet Nam, go to Maui again, spend some winters in Scottsdale - where would YOU like to go?
