Michael Jackson was unquestionably the biggest pop star of the '80s, and certainly one of the most popular recording artists of all time. Many of us grew up our whole lives listening to his music. Feel free to leave comments on how the King of Pop affected your life.

I was born in 1963, and I remember listening to the Jackson Five when I was a small kid. I even watched a Saturday afternoon cartoon of the Jackson Five. I loved Michael's music, but he was never really my favorite singer. I guess I assumed because he was so popular, he'd always be around. When I heard he died, I realized that integral part of music that I grew up with, and had with me my whole life, had now come to an end.

You'll always know where you were when you heard he died. I was in a gay bar with friends yesterday when the bartender told us what had just happened.
