These nice ladies were touched after viewing a report on BBC Correspondence featuring kids walking barefooted on cold winter snow. The two decided to trek upon a quake zone frequently visited by dozens of after shocks, braving the danger of being hit by rocks falling from above the passage way of the valleys, determine to reach their main goal. The moment of touching memories sets in when the chopper arrived bringing along the shoes that was delayed for a day due to road blockades caused by landslide. The scene of smiling children accepting their gifts from kind donors brought down some shaken moments of joy and teardrops from Emma and Anna. A sense of fulfillment for their task and deserving honors for this modern day heroines. A hot friday morning... Apr 29, 2006 8:27 am Mood: amused, 550 Views I was awaken by the silhouttes of the sun rays behind the curtains... It's too hot and humid the past few summer nights.. Without futher hesitation , I call upon the kids to prepare their swimming paraphernalias and we're going out of town for a dip...We go to a resort along the coastal side of Bulacan , picking it up for my choice because of the fresh water from the pump for its pool and with less chlorination due to water abundance. Resorts within the area of water scarcity is over chlorinated on this peak season, and is very harmful to little kiddos I brought along with me... Sad part was, I end up as the watchman attending to our valuables left within the rented shade...Listening to my old Portable Walkman of Elvis' Greatest hits while reviewing the weekend Racing Program, everything was going smoothly and cool. Looking at the kids wading like little ducklings and the usual yell of warnings in between... A text message from my eldest sister relaying that she's coming with my nieces save me from my watchman duties...Since we did not prepared for this I instructed her to buy some foods she'll see along the way for our lunch ... Watching them enjoying every minute of the day at the poolside really set my heart and mind to unwind and relax... Apr 15, 2006 7:24 pm Mood: relieved, 574 Views My sole still aches after that little sacrifice last "Maundy Thursday"...thirst and hunger under that afternoon scourging heat contributed to our deterioration plus the fatigue on our leg muscles , my two buddies with me have to bear...We stole some rest from time to time when we reached every church that was on the list in our annual visitation. We've finished our walk along the metro streets at about 9 p:m...finishing at Quiapo Church where the replica of the "Holy Sephulcher" lies, for our 14nth station...breathing a sigh of relief, a renewed spirit of our faith and indulgence.
