...I like to build the world a home ...
...And furnish it with love...
...Grow Apple trees and Honeybees
...And Snowhite Purple doves
...I like to buy the World a hope
...In perfect harmony
...I like to buy the World a home
...And keep its Company
...Its the real thing!
...Put a love in your heart
...Make it happy and bright
...Its the real thing!
Good Morning Starshine... The earth says Hello
You twinkle above us...You twinkle below...
Good Morning Starshine...from way up above...
My way of showing love to you ...
Is my early Morning greetings song...

Excerpt from a Priest sermon after Homily...Its a story of a man about to enter the Kingdom of God...Mystery of Faith and Booboos...
Totoy was hit by a truck while crossing the street for work...A hardworking man but a little bit dumber for the usual reason of poverty and for being less fortunate to go schooling ,was lyeing dead on the spot on the road pavement.
After the Long queue Of people who died that day, lining up for the usual question and answer portion part of San Pedro before you'll enter God's Kingdom.
Totoy and the rest would have to answer 3 questions, a test of faith and beliefs for one and two simple ones for the records purposes, and to avoid being sent to burning fires of hell!
On his turn; Saint Peter: ToToy! Do you Know Why you're here?
Brod Totoy : (touching the rooster)No Sir!
Saint Peter: (putting the rooster behind his back)...1st question! What are the days that start with letter T in a week?
Brod Totoy:Ang dali ! (chest out with pride)Today and Tomorrow....he he he he !
Saint Peter : 2nd Question! How many seconds Are there in a year? Math Yan Totoy ...ang apoy!alalahanin mo ang apoy!...Sagot!
Brod Totoy :hmmmm....alam ko na! January second ...February second...March second...April second... hhmmmm ! 12 seconds all in all !(winking at the people behind him)
Saint peter:Naku Totoy ka !(kyyuukkk! goes the rooster ) O sige na nga pwede na yun...for your last and final Question, If you know him talaga ...What's the name of God?
Brod Totoy : (holds his hand together ...murmured) .Aha! ...Harold po ... Akala nyo ha ! Harold po.
Saint Peter: Sinong Harold!
Brod Totoy : Our father Thou art in heaven ...Harold be thy name thy kingdom come!
A roaring thunder like voice rolled in ...echoing from all over ...
Gods Voice :...Pedro ...Pedro... Papasukin mo na si Totoy!
Saint Peter :...Opo Mahal Na Panginoon!
Brod Totoy: Kita mo na !kilala nya ako di ba !
Harold IKaw ba yan !!!
"Blessed are the meek in heart ,for they shall
Inherit the Kingdom of God "
...Beautiful Sunday To all!

I am a simple man ...who lives on a simple home.
I like simple foods...and store some simple goods
I dig simple clothings ...no diamonds no golden ring.
I have simple thoughts...with friends of simple living.
I have pets of simple moods and longing,
My exercise are simple,hiking, walking,biking.
On simple day I go to Church for some blessings
Afterwards went on,Kentucky,Sbarro,Chowking.
My simple wants for someone ...
Is to let her be my wife...
With simple understanding...to have and raise a child.
Be simple with arrangement...for furninures and the like.
A simple face with a simple smile, with simple hair
A lady in all its kindness and simplicity, guess what?
I simply like you because youre so nice and that simple.

Latter part of the second WW,while every one was enraged due to intensified fighting's. A small group of Resistant forces known as FAIT (Fil-American Ir-regular Troops)were conducting an ambus-cade on a coastline patrolling bangca filled with Japanese enemies. Ill equipped with few guns they acquired from previous encounter ,a handful of ammo, and sharpened bamboos(buho),Rogacing a young guerilla fighter designated as 1st rifleman ,sneaks out, and aimed to deliver the first shot at enemy personels aboard the moving target. Bang! right on the forehead down goes the machinegun gunner, exchange of fire volleys ensued and the remaining ones lay dead, infliction caused by that sharp pointed"buho",a local fighting tool. Stenched smell of blood splattered on the banca floor, another victory and a mission accomplished for the composite team.
Hereafter,Rogacing was summoned by his CO to do a mission well suited for his endurance, mild mannered nature, physique, and boyish features of a man at his age.He was asked to deliver a secret missive for the resistant forces at the far flung areas of Bulacan. His innocent and amiable looks made him passed Japs Sentry Points with eased thus concealing his secret identity .
The dawns breaking ,Aling Cecilia was wrapping up some salt sprinkled rice on newly sprouted banana leaves taken at their home backyard. Rogacing gearing up and preparing for his mission was tensely sorting the things he might need on his trip. Aling Cecilia broke his Silence asking "Saan ba ang tungo mo ngayon?" reaching his lunchpack and doubtedly responded "Mamaya ko pa ho malalaman ,kay Kapitan",offered his hand for the usual hand bless and meek words of farewell, head for the stairs, then making a sign of the Cross at the altar wave off to his worried mother, He went. On his way thru the dusty road layed in between the fishponds of Daang Bayugo, The tolling bells of San Francisco de Assisi church , rang out on the whole of Meycauyan outreaching its still asleep small Barrios. From the church patio, He went for the spiral staircase heading up to a secret room within the bells tower, bit ticking sounds of Morse Code machine ,saluting his CO, "Magingat ka ,ang mga sulat itago mong mabuti".
First Sentry point, he bowed by the guardhouse and uttered"kumbawa".Responding, the young Japanese soldier nod back and raised up the pole . Rogacing, offered him some Newport cigarettes , tossed to him andanswered back with a smile"Domo Arigato Roger San".
Lighting up a 'casa y' fuego and smiled back to the amused befriended sentinel. He being one of the laxed Japanese guard among the town locals. With gestures and puff of the mentholated cigarette, hand motion conversation about the town girls was the most enjoyed by the chinky eyed Japanese lad.
"Sayonara RogerSan"He vowed back as he went along to leave him behind heading North, facing the Sierra Madre mountain.
Scorching summer heat , the long trails of the plain, cracked uncultured soil ricefields, this patriotic young scout trekked out, unmindful of his bruised sole in fulfillment of his mission to reached his destined goal.Handling out the letter to the CO,opening said cipher , "Mga kasama ,Dumating na ang mga Amerikano, Nasa Leyte na si Gen. McArthur".Tossing their worned out 'Sambalilo (straw hat),The Captain embracing Rogacing with heartfelt fatherly instinct to a tiresome teary eyed son, comforting him with words . "Salamat, bata,Maraming, maraming salamat sa iyo,Kaawaan sana tayo ng diyos"
Done in Memory of Viring my Uncle, My Everloving dearest Father Roger, and My Lola's Ima Maria and LOla Cilia for patiently sharing this inspiring stories of soldiery to me. For the "60th Anniversary of WORLD PEACE", Our Family contribution for the triumphant Victory of the Allied Forces in the Pacific Cause!

 (This)...MASQUERADE
[by : Leon Russel]
I
...Are we really happy
with this lonely game we play looking for the right words to say...
...searching but not finding
understand in many ways
...we're lost in this Masquerade!
(refrain) ...both afraid to say were just to far away
from being close together from the start.
...we tried to talk it over but the words
got in the way.
...We're lost inside this
this lonely game we play...
II ...thoughts of leaving disappears
when its time I see her on
...and no matter how , I get along
to understand the reason that
...we can carry on this way
We're lost in this Masquerade... (repeat refrain)
(instrumental)then (repeat refrain and fade)
...We're lost in this ....Masquerade
this....MASQUERADE!!!

On the 15th day of August 1945,the Japanese Army surrendered to the American Forces ending the menace brought by the atrocities of war.Millions of lives were spent by its affliction and un accountable damages to properties were recorded here in the Philippines and within its neighbouring countries within the Pacific Rim.Lots of stories and testimonies have been told ,grieving tales of pains, lifelong inflictions, loses, courage and bravery by actual witnesses and that of the known victims of the Japanese Occupation in the Pacific.
There was a story that tells about the contributed effort of this two men, a saga of courage and bravery ,a recorded testimonies of facts in the middle and later part of World War II.
First , was that of a young man name Severino. Viring as his mother used to call him was drafted as a private by the USAFFE assigned as a message courier for the American forces. He delivered top secret from Hq to the guerilla stations within his duty areas.Riding his horse, Viring eluded the Japs by his familiarity with the passages and secret trails of each town within its boundaries. At times He would sneaked in, visiting his mother ALing Maria and his siblings, and will ride his way back trail comes the night to conceal his identity to the Makapili(Japanese collaborators).
One morning, while Aling Maria was busy preparing her "kakanin" which she sells for a living,a man connected to the resistant forces approached her,"Aling Maria, dali kayo!Si Viring ho nahuli",acting on her motherly instinct, she quickly called upon her eldest girl and one of her daughters in law, grabbed her "bandana"and hurriedly went on to see the fate of her captured son.Reaching the Poblacion, she approached the Japanese Officer and weepingly asked for a favor to see him.Granted her wish she approached the cell and call upon his son Viring, haggardly and strressed he reach out for her mothers hand and uttered"Ima, bakit pa kayo naparito","Kunin n'yo na ang kabayo ko,at umuwi na ho kayo",tightlipped and sobing with tears overflowing, all she can do was to nod repeatedly.Viring asked for his mothers scarf"Ima iwan nyo na sa akin ang bandana nyo at humayo na kayo" she slipped it, in between the windowbars and turn back from the window. Then she went into a tree at the back of the San Diego de Alcala Church, untied its rein, pull the horse and slowly walk the Church Patio move along heading for home .Just passed the San Roque Church along the dusty road of "Daang Pasolo"the serenity of the morning was broken up by loud bangs of the guns fired by the Japanese Execution Squad.A wailing cry bursted out from Aling Marias heart,"Viring! ... Viring ! naku po! Diyos ko po ang Anak ko".
Recognized by the United States Veterans Affairs(USVA)Maria Caco was awarded with a lifetime pension by the American Government by the Service Duty of his unmarried son Severino. Widower, She ably supported the needs of her family , thru the benefits she received from the VA's office , US Embassy in Manila.

This day has two important occasion, a celebration of my best pal's birthday and my brothers birthday as well, but in his loving memory...let me express my deepest sorry and regrets for not having you near ....my dear brother named Clarito or Lale ...this ones for you.
My brother, although he has a hearing problem who seem so meek and so friendly had to be content on everything he had gained in his life. All he has was his caring friends , and his being an apostolate member that set his destiny away from us. We,at home never had the chance of knowing that he had a health problem ...life was too short for him due to the infliction brought about by a head injury he had at his young mischievous age.An accident while playing tug of war when he was 8 years old, this head injury caused by a protruding steelbar might also deprived him of his hearing abilities.A bright student in school gaining honor rolls,a helpful lad ,and a lover of old music. How can I forget? Humming of his favorite songs everytime he cooks... his part on the division of labor our parents had assign us...the closest we've been for I was there to fill the waterdrums. If ever we had the chance,we sang together on duet... a tune called "Something Stupid" by Frank and Nancy Sinatra...I'll be Frank and he'll be Nancy...that's my way of consoling him if he's on tantrums...all I do is hit the first note for cue and he'll smile back when I grabbed his favorite "sand"...I'll move my face towards him to share the mic(sandok)like we see the tandem duet on television. And soon after, all his impatience on his duty subside until he's done.
We've parted ways when my aunt and grandma ask my father for him to help them in the household and to accompany as well.So we usually see him on Christmas Day for about ten years until he went back home after his tenure of voluntary help.
Back at home...now a fullgrown young man...He spent most of the time at the Church and as a Layman Apostolate ,conducted seminars in Cursillo houses.Religiously inclined, He never had the chance to have his own family until that tragic moment. One fine morning while on charity mission to deliver some notices, He was found slumping on the side of a city mall by some fruit vendors...moaning in pain...was rushed to a nearby hospital...comatose ...until the only fatal decision I have made in my entire life...His life at my mercy for my blessing...remove the respiratory tube for my brothers hopeless case...rushing to the hospital ...at his bed ....I reach for him and hold his hand and feel his slow breathing heart ....I bade my goodbye and asked his forgiveness for all my disciplinary actions on his insubordinations as brothers, for my scolding's if his gone so long for his charity works and mostly for that kindness he had rendered to us and his most beloved friends... my salutation and admiration...nod my head for the signal...keeping that loud yell in my heart...until that flatliners. Lale... Lale.....Clarito ...Wake up time for us to do our chores ...Words that will always remind me of my young brother comes August 16...My dear brother.

...every time I wake up...on this cold rainy morning...got caught always by the dawn that brings me life...
...and gazing outside...I saw the misty shadows...of the purple nights ...hanging down my window curtains...
...I've heard a lot natures music...birds up high are singing...the hissing sound of the morning breeze...
...reaching out my hands...found myself in a trance... a vision for someone ...who's out of town...
...no matter come what may...even in sunshine or in rain...no matter what they say...as long as you dont change your way...
...to love you forever...cherish you in everyway feeling nice if you're here with me today...
...this nature that sorrounds me...may vanished in the haze...music songs I am playing will refrain...
...but that strange feelings I've got for "My Special Lady"...My Special...My one and only Someone...surely will remain.
