Nope. This ain't an ad for some girl-to-girl thingy. Just plain friendship with a lady or ladies, in the New York or New Jersey area.
Someone who is kind, gentle, not into gossip, likes to hang out once in a while, guards confidential stuff, easy to please, not high-maintenance, not into drama, and who is also looking for a true friend.
For some unknown reason, most peepz who wish to befriend me are males. I am always clear that all I want at this point is friendship. They claim to want just friendship too at first, but oftentimes become disgruntled when it becomes apparent that I truly meant what I said.
There are so many gorgeous men in New York, and that is no exaggeration. In all my travels, New York is undoubtedly the place where there are more attractive available guys than anywhere else in the globe. But finding a female friend is quite tough. Please wish me luck.
I came in here today, coz I got pissed off in real life. If you knew me personally, you'd know it takes a whole lot to piss me off.
And as usual, this site works its magic. Untangling the knots on my back, clearing the cobwebs in my mind.
Doesn't say much about the quality of life I have right now, huh? But what can I say, this site works for me. To each his/her own.
I've vowed since the start to keep my blog positive. I choose not to cloud it with the inevitable negative stuff that comes my way. But truth be told, there are much more unpleasant stuff goin on in my life right now, than ever before. But I take it as a challenge. Like my favorite song says: I Will Survive.

was in a park yesterday, despite the freezing weather.
the park was overlooking the hudson river and manhattan..spectacular view.
i was missing my true friends..wishing they were sharing the experience with me.
then a limousine came, and out came a beautiful newly-wed couple and their entourage, still in their gowns and tuxedoes.
what a lovely couple they made...they had a pictorial, with manhattan as the background.
i couldn't help but pray for them..for it takes courage to take that step..eventhough it's much easier to get out of a bad marriage here, than it is in the philippines.
i couldn't help but admire their bravery and physical beauty.
despite all the divorce statistics..despite the number of failed marriages..despite the number of broken homes, broken dreams..there they were...looking so splendid and magnificent, even triumphant...as the cameras captured their happy faces, with the sunset reflected among the manhattan skyscrapers in the background.
i felt glad and awfully relieved, that love, hope and romance..and the institution called marriage...they still endure, inspite of it all.

In a trial, a small-town prosecuting attorney called his first witness, a grandmotherly, elderly woman to the stand.
He approached her and asked, "Mrs. Jones,do you know me?"
She responded, "Why, yes, I do know you, Mr. Williams. I've known you since you were a young boy, and frankly, you've been a big disappointment to me. You lie, you cheat on your wife, and you manipulate people and talk about them behind their backs. You think you're a big shot when you haven't the brains to realize you never will amount to anything more than a two-bit paper pusher. Yes, I know you."
The lawyer was stunned! Not knowing what else to do, he pointed across the room and asked, "Mrs. Jones, do you know the defense attorney?"
She again replied, "Why, yes, I do. I've known Mr. Bradley since he was a youngster, too. He's lazy, bigoted, and he has a drinking problem. He can't build a normal relationship with anyone and his law practice is one of the worst in the entire state. Not to mention he cheated on his wife with three different women. One of them was your wife. Yes, I know him."
The defense attorney almost died.
The judge asked both counselors to approach the bench and, in a very quiet voice, said, "If either of you idiots asks her if she knows me, I'll send you to the electric chair."
I always choose to be kind, even if the other party is not. But when the person doesn't respect, or trust me, I choose not to be that person's friend. My tongue has many invisible scars, coz I have bitten it off so many times, when I could easily verbally cut a person who has wounded me first. This self-discipline is what defines me.
If I am civil towards a meanie, I am consciously kinder towards those who treat me right. People sometimes take kind people for granted. But I cherish them above the rest.
If I am kind towards my friends, I am kinder still towards my family. I consciously put more time, energy, and effort into making my family happy and well-nourished in every way.
Life taught me to be very private. I guard secrets as though my very life depends on it. But I also programmed myself not to be surprised by curve-balls that come my way.
Sadly, I have evolved into someone who feels that life has already ended, and that I am only going through the motions of surviving, only for the sake of my loved ones. It is a life of service and constant self-denial. The internet has become my only outlet. The only way I can be me, without fear of being judged or ridiculed.
Sadly, I've discovered that someone has devoted his life on tracking down my every cyber movement and cyber activities. At first I felt violated. But then again, that person will never have me. Not my friendship. And certainly not my respect.
His sister lost her three small kids to social services. The kids were supposed to be housed in different foster homes. He intervened, fought real hard to gain custody of his nephews. He was 20 yrs old back then.
Now, Joey is 24, and he is successfully raising the boys. Only recently, he succeeded in legally adopting each one. His three bestfriends help provide a family for the three beautiful boys. He is eligible and kinda cute, but he is focussing all his love and time on the kids.
Joey captured the people's hearts. He was featured in People's Magazine. And this morning he was featured in a local talk show. The show and a local credit card company gave Joey, the boys and his three bestfriends gift cards. The show also talked with Joey's employer to give him a raise. They also made another sponsor deliver food to their doorstep everyday for a whole year. And, as a finale, they gave Joey $50,000.
Wow! Whew! It's wonderful when good hardwork is recognized and rewarded.
But we are all heroes in our own way. Everytime we put someone else's well-being ahead of our own benefit, we are doing something truly heroic.
