705 Views | Movies are my only vice in life. And from all the movies I've watched, there is just one person who is an excellent kisser, in my opinion. She is Amanda Bynes.
It's very evident in the movies She's The Man and Hairspray. Kissing is an art, and she most definitely mastered it well. | |

That's the slogan of another site, that claims to match more couples successfuly together, and claims to have more happy marriages and babies from such matchmaking.
I can discuss how they do it in that site, but I am loyal to this one. But goodluck to them and to all the people who found longterm relationships from there.
In a nutshell, from the start, they make sure that the partners are compatible. And the rest fall into place.
I totally agree with their slogan. If it takes too much effort to get along, eventually, one or both partners will get tired of the whole thing. |

620 Views | There is always an unspoken pressure to acquire beautiful things, great cars, fantastic houses, buy the latest gadgets, etc.
When people gather and socialize, a person may observe that people would inevitably say that there is some new stuff they bought, or some things they are saving for.
Also, a member of my family won the Spelling Bee competition in school. Which is totally fantastic! But there is that pressure to do better in the District Bee, and eventually qualify for the National Bee.
Kids are always encouraged to do well academically and also excel in sports. Nothing wrong with that. But why are some kids being forced by their own parents to take some growth hormones and steroids to do better?
A friend of mine told me that the rationale behind these competitive scenarios is subliminal. There is an unspoken training for war. That people are trained to constantly compete with each other, and even with their own selves, because eventually, they are being groomed by society to win, in a war situation.
Whether that hypothesis is true or not, a person may observe, and feel that it is one of the most pressure-packed environments. It's a place where some people may learn to grow fangs, become hardened, become materialistic, become greedy and vain, become superficial and full of artifice.
Having said that, here's wishing to find people who are still warm and simple. | |

| Wanted: Female Friend |

684 Views | Nope. This ain't an ad for some girl-to-girl thingy. Just plain friendship with a lady or ladies, in the New York or New Jersey area.
Someone who is kind, gentle, not into gossip, likes to hang out once in a while, guards confidential stuff, easy to please, not high-maintenance, not into drama, and who is also looking for a true friend.
For some unknown reason, most peepz who wish to befriend me are males. I am always clear that all I want at this point is friendship. They claim to want just friendship too at first, but oftentimes become disgruntled when it becomes apparent that I truly meant what I said.
There are so many gorgeous men in New York, and that is no exaggeration. In all my travels, New York is undoubtedly the place where there are more attractive available guys than anywhere else in the globe. But finding a female friend is quite tough. Please wish me luck.

718 Views | I came in here today, coz I got pissed off in real life. If you knew me personally, you'd know it takes a whole lot to piss me off.
And as usual, this site works its magic. Untangling the knots on my back, clearing the cobwebs in my mind.
Doesn't say much about the quality of life I have right now, huh? But what can I say, this site works for me. To each his/her own.
I've vowed since the start to keep my blog positive. I choose not to cloud it with the inevitable negative stuff that comes my way. But truth be told, there are much more unpleasant stuff goin on in my life right now, than ever before. But I take it as a challenge. Like my favorite song says: I Will Survive.
With God's grace, ofcourse.

This here blog is my way of expressing whatever I want, for whatever purpose it serves.
It was not designed to make anyone fall for me, or for an ex to b*tch about every single detail of what I wrote here, or for a suitor to go on a roller-coaster ride of emotions.
It is, simply, my online journal, and deserves respect.

828 Views |  | was in a park yesterday, despite the freezing weather.
the park was overlooking the hudson river and manhattan..spectacular view.
i was missing my true friends..wishing they were sharing the experience with me.
then a limousine came, and out came a beautiful newly-wed couple and their entourage, still in their gowns and tuxedoes.
what a lovely couple they made...they had a pictorial, with manhattan as the background.
i couldn't help but pray for them..for it takes courage to take that step..eventhough it's much easier to get out of a bad marriage here, than it is in the philippines.
i couldn't help but admire their bravery and physical beauty.
despite all the divorce statistics..despite the number of failed marriages..despite the number of broken homes, broken dreams..there they were...looking so splendid and magnificent, even triumphant...as the cameras captured their happy faces, with the sunset reflected among the manhattan skyscrapers in the background.
i felt glad and awfully relieved, that love, hope and romance..and the institution called marriage...they still endure, inspite of it all. |
