Visited my sister's friend. Went to her fabulous haus. Picture perfect. And she has an adorable dog. A shitsu who has a kind face and sweet personality. She barked and sniffed till she got used to my scent. Soon enough, she was with me the whole time. When I sat, she sat on me, kissing my hand, while I gently massaged her with my other hand. When I stood up, she walked with me. A simple interaction that can get addictive.
Before I met her, my idea of a relaxing day is going to a local pet-store and just stare at dogs for sale. And now I visit pet-stores more often. I don't have the know-how nor the space to have a dog. But since I came to America, I've come to really like dogs.
Nice movie. Arresting plot. But the ending's kind of a no-brainer.
She already knows what he's capable of. She narrowly escapes his clutches twice. Why on earth would she put on a nightgown, and just wait for the psycho to come get her again, and the man she loves? Like a sitting duck. No weapon. Nuthin. AND she even takes her Anxiety pill that dulls her out.
She concentrated on raising her kids the best way she can.
He went about his life, raising his kids the best way he can.
They still stayed in the same house. For the kids' sake.
Seven years of separate beds. Then they went to a spiritual revival meeting. A whole week retreat. All they did was pray and meditate on God's words and goodness. They went home. And in a spur of spiritual togetherness, they made a baby. For one night. Soon enough, they realized they were still incompatible. But that singular union bore fruit. Nine months later, they welcomed their youngest child. A child born out of deep faith and love for God.
Want to try something new and healthful? Try this.
1. Buy some Salmon fillets. Pull out remaining bones with tweezers. Wash the fish and pat dry with paper towel.
2. Generously season fish with coarse salt and ground pepper.
3. Brush or spread salmon with mustard. ( Dijon Mustard is the best. Sweet mustard is second best choice. )
4. Coat the salmon with brown sugar. Gently shake off excess sugar. Fish should be fairly thickly crusted. Let it rest a bit.
5. Cook the salmon. Grilling is the best. Grills that make panini work fabulously. But regular grilling over coals can work too. If there is no griller, the good ol' oven toaster can do the trick, but it may not be as good as grilled.
Cooking on electric griller takes five to seven minutes. May take more time with conventional griller, as both sides needs to be cooked on separate time. I personally enjoy crispy salmon skin.
The whole thing is so ridiculously simple and easy to do. The taste of salmon is enhanced by the mustard's sharpness and there is a contrasting mild sweetness.
There are only five simple ingredients: Salmon, coarse salt, ground pepper, mustard, and brown sugar.
Squeeze a lime over the whole thing, if u wish. Lettuce sprinkled with italian salad dressing can be an excellent companion for the dish. Tomatoes, olives, cucumber and cheese can also be added, but its optional.
She was a very kind and gentle lady. She left 28 yrs ago and went to the US. Ten years ago, she was still kind. Now, she has evolved into something that snarls. She has become pushy and loud. Must be because it is quite tough to survive out here.
Is it possible that when a person's goodness is based on personality, and not on faith in God, the goodness is only temporary?
He and she met online. They agree to meet in person. He says he's wearing blue top and jeans. She says she's wearing red top and jeans, but was actually wearing something else. She was playing it safe.
She arrives at the cafe. Scans the room. Takes a seat.
He arrives.
She doesn't like how he looks. And felt very relieved that she said she was wearing another colored shirt.
He waits for a lady in red shirt. And waits in vain.
After a few minutes, he walks over to ask her: " Are you _______ ? I'm supposed to meet that lady here. "
She ( angrily ) : " Do I look like I'm wearing a red shirt to you?? "
I love to travel. Been traveling to other countries since I was 15. It's wonderful to explore new sites, meet new people, taste new food, breathe in new atmosphere, learn about new cultures. It's a very humbling and exhilarating experience.
Yesterday morning, I was able to borrow an Executive Pass to view NY from the top of the Empire State Blg. The Pass saved me atleast three hours of long queues.
Made me reminisce about the other tall buildings and other places I've visited before. And made me miss my real friends all the more.
I seldom go back to places I've already checked out, but I went back for a view at night. Not an easy thing to do, coz I'm terrified of heights. I like conquering my fears.
