Like A Chameleon...

I love a chameleon Each day is a brand new dress. The winds of change howl in my soul, I embrace their sweet caress.
Like fresh mountain waters, I cleanse your wounded soul. But you only touch the surface, Never seeing what lies below.
With songs of love I entice you, As you lie in my warm embrace. Tomorrow you'll hear a different tune. Tomorrow a different place.
I love a chameleon, And my sorrow you'll never see. For you only see your reflection, And never what waits beneath.
Are you like a chameleon too?

A Question For MEN!!!

Men, I have a question. First I would like to say I am not a prude! Now that I have stated my position, here is my question. Why do men dwell on the subject of sex in chats? It's been my experience recently that before I can even get to know a man or he know me, sex is brought up in a crude, rude, or subtle way. Men please lend me your thoughts on the subject. Ladies if you have something to say please do. I`m sure a lot of you have experienced the same thing. Thank you.

Just found this old wise motivational writing and thought you might like it even most of you are very familiar with it..just sharing it with you here..
Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly, and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others, you may become bitter or vain, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interest in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time. Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment, it is perennial as the grass...Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore, be at peace with God, whatever you conceive him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

Along the way, There are obstacles to meet Thorns to block your way You are faced with difficult decisions, fears to overcome. Pain that leaves you scarred forever Lessons you will never forget, But wisdom to make better choices in the future.
Through all the bad memories, There will also be grand experiences. Memories bursting with color, Happiness, love, serenity and peace. Making up for anything unpleasant complete bliss, A reassurance that everything will be all right.
For the end of the journey, You will reach your destination. Deep in the heart, If you have ambition and determination. Life is like a rose, A sign of beauty,a sign of hope, A sign of anything and everything you can be. If you believe.......

“In the name of the best within you, do not sacrifice this world to those who are its worst. In the name of the values that keep you alive, do not let your vision of man be distorted by the ugly, the cowardly, the mindless in those who have never achieved his title. Do not lose your knowledge that man's proper estate is an upright posture, an intransigent mind and a step that travels unlimited roads. Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark, in the hopeless swamps of the approximate, the not-quite, the not-yet, the not-at-all. Do not let the hero in your soul perish, in lonely frustration for the life you deserved, but have never been able to reach. Check your road and the nature of your battle. The world you desired can be won, it exists, it is real, it is possible, it's yours.”

Morris returns from the doctor and tells his wife that the doctor has told him that he has only 24 hours to live. Given the prognosis, Morris asks his wife for sex. Naturally, she agrees, so they make love. About 6 hours later, the husband goes to his wife and says, 'Honey, you know I now have only 18 hours to live. Could we please do it one more time?' Of course, the wife agrees, and they do it again. Later, as the man gets into bed, he looks at his watch and realizes that he now has only 8 hours left. He touches his wife's shoulder and asks, 'Honey, please, just one more time before I die.' She says, 'Of course, Dear,' and they make love for the third time. After this session, the wife rolls over and falls to sleep. Morris, however, worried about his impending, tosses and turns, until he's down to 4 more hours. He taps his wife, who rouses. 'Honey, I have only 4 more hours. Do you think we could...'
At this point the wife sits up and says, 'Listen Morris, I have to get up in the morning... you don't.'

There was a blind girl who hated herself because she was blind. She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her. She told her boyfriend, 'If I could only see the world, I would marry you.'
One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her. When the bandages came off, she was able to see everything, including her boyfriend.
He asked her, 'Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?' The girl looked at her boyfriend and saw that he was blind. The sight of his closed eyelids shocked her. She hadn't expected that. The thought of looking at them the rest of her life led her to refuse to marry him.
Her boyfriend left in tears and days later wrote a note to her saying: 'Take good care of your eyes, my dear, for before they were yours, they were mine.'
This is how the human brain often works when our status changes. Only a very few remember what life was like before, and who was always by their side in the most painful situations.

Do You Like Your Name?

Most of us don’t have the opportunity to pick our first name because they are given to us at birth by our parents. Some really love their given names while others wonder what was going through their parents’ minds when they chose their names.
Regardless, our name is what identifies us to the world, and it is the tag that people get to know us by. I find some names very interesting. As a matter of fact, sometimes people will even say things like “He doesn’t look like a Sam” or “ Evelyn is a perfect name for her.” Hmmm.. is it perfect for me? Well, they call me Lyn lol.. Sometimes we do tend to make some general judgments about people based on their names.
Of course, a discussion about first names raises the following two questions I would like you to think about today. First, if you could change your name, would you? Second, if you could, what would you change your name to and why? As you know, some people actually have their names legally changed, but most of us just stay with the name we were given at birth. So how do you feel about your name?
