My Anawangin Summer Adventure!

just done camping, trekking and island hopping.
I fulfilled one in my bucket list.. to do trekking.. was really unforgetable. but my thighs ache lol.
it was actually camping that we did. We had 2 tents..there were only 4 of 3of which are in their early 20's. We all are from Olongapo City and went to SanAntonio by bus Our contact sent us trike transport to pick us up from the bus terminal. When we were in the town proper we bought fish and other food stuffs.
Our contact provided us with
a cooler, with 10 pieces of ice in plastic bags,( this is where we put the fish and other drinks and stuffs
4 plates , 4 spoons,
one laddle one frying pan and one kaldero,,
bundled pieces of firewood for the bonfire and charcoal for cooking.
We were also provided our own boat to transport us to Anawangin Cove..It was a small boat fit to transport only 4 people plus the 2 boatmen.. 30 minutes boat ride..
We were given a cottage at Anawangin and in front we built our tents. It was sooo warm and humid day. Our male company did the cooking, grilling.. we do the cutting n the preparation, washing ( My companion asked me if i can cook with firewood, I told her I will just bring cooked food he he he ) I don't like to cook in firewood! he he he.
After settling down we went around the cove. There were 3 campsites . Each campsite was fenced with small bamboo trees/ stalks.
Our campsite were at the middle where u can see an onlook house( not a tree house) On the left site is the biggest site where it extends into the deep pine wood forest( agoho trees).There was a wooden bridge leading to the innermost agoho forest. There were colorful tents everywhere big and small tents. There was a small lake( which u can actually cross on ur feet (no crocodiles allowed) and the view was just entirely different from how you actually saw it than being captured in my cam..( my cam wasnot high tech..
At the extreme left of that campsite we saw the base of the mountain..and we headed into it.. Oh my God! this is it! I need to climb this one.. and so I did. I told my friend we have to climb this.. or our day won;t be complete! And so we did! It gave me a feeling of fulfilment. Pics and views became better and better as we go up the trail.. YOu can see the whole of the cove and the surrounding areas! I was able to capture a good sunset view..after savoring the good feeling and the view, we went down slowly and still excitment thrives in!
Whhoooaaaahhh!! tired sore thighs.. but well paid off with the climbing!
On the right side of our camp is another place full of people and tents and hanging clothes!
On the rightmost side is the mountain that u need to trekk forlonger time if you choose to travel by land. If you start from Pundaquit, you need to trekk for 5 hours before you reach Anawangin Cove which is a camp site. For those who are not used to walking long distance and rough terrain, this will surely make you cry. Good luck to those who will cry! 5 thumbs up to those who will make it!
Lots and lots of people come in boats, families and group of friends finding a way out of the city busy life, In the afternoon, there were boats coming to pick up those who won't sleep overnight. We swam at night and it was good.
It was full moon that night so many people stayed in the waters till wee hours of the morning! I slept good ..
We had big fat veggie tuna sandwiches for breakfast then grilled fish n eggplant at lunch. since we are going home, we bartered some of our canned goods and other food stuffs among the natives. that is in exchange of bamboo speakers and bamboo coin cylinders.
We did island hopping before we went home and the island we went to it was really awesome!! the dark green clear waters and the shore and th big rock formation! wow!!I This is Capones island where I was able to figure our naruto's face on that very tall cliff I brought some rocks from the island.
The trip was less than a thousand pesos. Sulit trip!
For a trip coming from Manila our contact said they charge 2200 pesos per pax..

I wonder why some people posts "I'm bored", or BORING and I always see these in FB full of SElfies.. or selfish.. pics when in fact there are lots of things we can do.
As a Mamilo ( grandmom) When I visit the grandkids I usually prepare something to do:
> make them aware of importance of plants. I let them plant a seed. and observe them grow.
> mix and match water color
> participate in making pan cakes ( I made letter pancakes for my when they were young)
> let them cut some paper dolls in different colors
> teach them how to sweep the floor (told their mom to do)
> teach them how to fold their little clothes( mom's job to teach)
> show them how a volcano erupts
> make homemade ice cream
> encourage them to climb trees ( I was climbing fences when I was young)
> bring them out at a race track
> teach them how to play tennis
> or catch a softball
> improvise materials
> play basketball with them
> tell them stories of what they see around
>amaze them with batteries n bulbs
> let them take pics from cellphone or cams ( they are techie anyway)
A hundred of things for can do!
Is life really BORING??
