Sometimes in life. You just really can't imagine. When you hear beauty is in the eye of the beholder. San Francisco is really a beautiful place!!! As a kid never really appreciated going there on field trips. Walking across the Golden Gate Bridge or walking China town or everyone invited to our Spanish teachers house. Sometimes all the excitement was really gone from me. No spirit of joy. Like a walking zombie...
Last night we visited the inner city and went to Gary Danko's. In all my life have never heard of such a place. My sonny's friends belated birthday for his mom was being celebrated again but here in CA. Last month they went to Hawaii and had celebrated in a Benehana. One place i still yet have to experience. Sonny took all the fuss of driving and doing my errands with me the whole day. And got me these cute stillletto shoes. For the life of me still recovering. I couldn't walk the little place up and down that hill just to go in that restaurant. Equilibrium still off. Just a plain old t-shirt and jeans w/ tennis shoes gal!!! Ok, well from the view the place look normal from the outside and so we walked in be careful of the slippery marble. Small actually and dim. Mirrors made it big that illusion of being wider. So, here we are seated. and they moved the tables wo we can go in and sit. We were a bit late due to the traffic and every thing was one way!!! So, they start us with Gaspacho soup(cold). Breads. And ask if we were ready to order. Now mind you when i opened the menu I gasped!!! Big time. Woah, as if i wanted to ran out of there as fast as i can. I could just go into the grocery store and buy a months supply of food i can cook with. Sonny and friends are into these frills and have not complained this is my third time i was really very impressed and so much blessed to have ever experienced. Thank God trully!!! Ok, we were ready to order. I had my sonny ordered for me. Since they new what's delish. It was serve course at a time(5 course to be exact). The waiters are so accomodating. They replace silverwares on cue even if it was not ever used. The service was empecable!!! I didn't eat all day. Because thinking ok, gonna pig out for dinner. After the lobster bisque(in saffron) and salmon(cupcake w/ baluga?). Filled me up already. And gave up on the rare beef over a bed of spinach. All are very well proportioned. What i love the most was the fruity and very smooth wine w/ no touch of alcohol. Just simply amazing. I could drink a whole bottle thank you. And the desserts wow!!! Chocolate souffle, yummy!!! and coffee and little candie treats. As i absorb the ambience of the room was tranquility with a touch of class and everyone just smiling. Very rich and dressed. So, the waiter gives the birthday cake and hands it to me, and i go it's for her. So, she blew the candle but goes it's for Happy Anniversary. Again, they go bring in a fresh one with the correct greeting. So, lucky for her two wishes. To top it all off we were given a favor as a gift on our way home. I love it so much don't really want to eat it. But, will share a piece with my folks.
Lovely dinner and beautiful ambience. So very blessed with the outcome. Once in a blue moon experience. Very thankful to God. just to live and enjoy at the now!!! Everyone should really do the experience in their life. Just even for one day. Totally recommend it. Just to peek in on the rich side of life.
