i haven't posted for a while
in a capsule, part of my life
where have i been, what have i been doing
only of late i found, now 24 is kobe's bling
have i been working hard?
have i been eating a lot?
i may have put on a little lard
thus i switched from lager to scotch
no regrets in devoting my time to just one
commitments are remote until i am done
opportunities are always there, i always face
but it doesn't knock twice, gone when i'm done with my days
no wonder some thought i was gay
with fff opposite, i don't flirt and play

unfortunately, should one wish to be accepted in the society, s/he has to conform with the norm. trying his/her best to please everybody in all walks of life. compromise is very much a loose term. for an optimistic person, s/he will call it as a win/win situation. however, a pessimist sees it otherwise. for a pessimist, when s/he compromises, it means s/he gave in and that s/he made the other party jolly as that other party got what s/he wanted in the first place. for a pessimist, s/he thinks s/he's been duped and s/he gave in to fit in what most call 'normal society'.

Accept that all of our actions are fundamentally motivated by that urge to fill those basic human needs", as quoted from airhead888's recent post. airhead, i hope you didn't mind.
we are bound by the norm of the society. majority wins. social misfits are unacceptable. emos are snared upon. having said all these, these same rules are hypocritically broken by those people with vested interests. a classic example of these people are those in power, e.g. government. they will succumb to the minority to gather votes. they will comply with the rich people's request (the rich are a minority in today's financial situation) due to vested interest. it's the "you pat my back, and i'll line your pocket" mentality.
with this post i may sound a pessimist. on the contrary. i have turned myself to be an optimist to annoy the heck out of those people trying and wanting to put me down. i don't bind myself with the old cliche, "it's hard to put a good man down". rather, i prefer, "weeds are harder to kill"
and as for the question, "what's with the rhyme?"...well i never thought i would see the day when words don't sound the same.
