it was difficult to contain my emotions
speaking with you in your condition
it was the very first to hear our voices
on the phone were two very total strangers
we did not stumble for words
we are both at ease at the most
the phone line was as clear as if you were next door
but in fact, we are 5000 kilometers apart or more
despite your predicament, i felt your smile
when i said ... "hi jane, this is mad" from a mile
i felt your tears as if we were lost brotha and sistah
and i felt mine too as i clear my croaky throat
your smile and tears turned to a laughter
literraly LOL as the mind took over the matter
by then, i could say despite the worse ... you are okay
saving my tee shirt first when the flood hit you on the day
i was glad to cheer you up even for a few minutes
i look forward to the sequel for the time we meet
