brilliant, simple, and most of all...TRUE
how many of us try our darnest hard to please everyone and still end up misunderstood?
how many of us go out of our own comfort zone and travel that extra mile just to please others?
how many of us end up to be the losers despite compromising ourselves to meet their expectations?
how many of us go against all the odds?
is it worth the f--king compromise?

it's a catch 22
we are told time and time again to forget the past
and power ahead to the future
but i say
remember the past, both good and bad
iron out the creases, cross your t's and dot your i's
and most importantly
TRY not to make the same mistakes, otherwise you will find yourself in that same deep s--t
believe me, easy to say but pretty darn hard to do
as i fall in the same trap when i know it's there all the time

i used it too much the night before
i woke up this morning with a head so sore
i rubbed it, massaged it, some gentle stroke
only to feel it swell and ached even more
i must admit i enjoyed it a lot
am proud of myself the way it turned out
haven't been tested for so many years, so excuse me please
gotta do some reading for the next trivia night quiz
