smoke screen could be defence to aching hearts
once bitten twice shy
trust is earned not given away
one's life is like a movie groundhog
so boring and living like a dog
yet we move on, like a zombie, we carry on
we see the darkest of night, wait for the break of dawn
what is the meaning of life for some
is it just a borrowed time from above
are others lucky for living longer
or an extension of the pain they linger
blessed are those who can see the light
optimism will lead em to a future that's bright
those in the dark and living in lurch

sitting here, having a dull moment
i thought i'd log in after work's torment
read a few posts, left few comments
now i'm writing my own, soon it'll be sent
what have i achieve at work this week
shuffled some papers, attached em with clips
few boring meetings but with excellent feed
my compliments to the chef, it's what i need
my week ain't over nor does my day
my mind started to wander, started to play
my concentration is all but gone
wanna head home to drink my beer alone
three paragraphs i wrote above
three paragraphs yet no mention of love
emotionless? lost interest?
i don't know anymore, i just need a rest

could you tell the age of a blogger
by the posts he/she writes
do you bother check their profile
and believe what they say is right
i noticed bloggers have their own followers
comments left, thoughts were shared
expanded, appreciated, some provoking than others
and one day find 'em in fff's list of top creators
i, for one, am a browser of 'em few
their posts sensible, pure and true
the limited time i have in a day to read
is well spent to have me mind nourished & fed

a typical filipino and his hot blonde gf decided to have a romantic picnic at the park
filipino guy brought what a typical filipino brings to a picnic, i.e., rice (in rice cooker), stew (in pot), adobo (in a massive tupperware).
his hot blonde gf brought 'only' a thermos
blonde: the salesperson said this keeps hot things hot and cold things cold
guy: wow! so, what's in the thermos for us?
blonde: 2 cups of coffee AND 2 scoops of ice cream for dessert.

ironically, all stayed in there
