Fifth day of my Cali tour was spent dawdling with the Arts. Tito Peping drove Rachel and me to Balboa Park(Balboa Park is made up of more than 1000 acres and offers fifteen museums, various gardens, arts and international culture associations)in San Diego where we indulge our classical taste and appreciate the rich culture being featured there. We arrive there at 3pm since we woke up late, entered the Museum of Art and pretended to be art connoisseur. Lacking some time we just roam around the park, appreciating the architectural designs of the buildings. According to my research it was an eclectic mix of Spanish Colonial Renaissance with Gothic & Moorish influence, and the borrowed styles of baroque and rococo, very unique in its own way if you ask me.Walking around we also found the Rose garden on the other side of the bridge; although the flower would have been awesome during the springtime. Retracing our step to the parking lot, we accidentally come into a practice ballet recital in the Casa Del Prado Theater. Since its getting dark despite its still quarter to five we decided to go and find Tito Peping who drove as back to Norwalk. The traffic though in the freeway was jammed so we arrive late in Norwalk.

Here i am once again blogging myself with the continuation of my Cali visit...... Monday morn after a frustrating chat with my best and an equally frustrating talking with Mykcrazy_son via the phone(the frekkin' communication system is not with me i guess!! )Rachel, super kulit Paolo and me went to the Greyhound bus station to go to San Diego. As we drive towards the station, i realized the reason why the frekkin' line won't cooperate, Temecula is surrounded by mountains ranges, a historic place as far as i can see. We arrive at the station early so we decided to grab a bite in Denny's which resulted for being nearly left by the bus. We arrive at San Diego about 11am, boarded a taxi to Seaworld Adventure Park. At the start of our tour we decided to based it on the show schedule, but then we got lost. Guess we sooo good in map reading. Turning around in circle; never finding what we're looking for, Rachel and i decided to just go around and enjoy. As we were going around super kulit Paulo started his junk food trip with a cotton candy(mind you he was quite a handful0 , then we kinda find out that there is a Shamu show in the Shamu station, from there we find our way to Clydesdale Hamlet, Pet stadium (featuring Pet's Rule), Penguin Encounter, Dolphin Stadium(featuring a Dolphin show), Manatee Rescue, Shark Encounter, Seaworld Garden of Discovery, Freshwater Aquarium and Flamingo Cove. Sides with this tour is running to catch super kulit Paolo, he is really handful and some souvenir shopping. We never got to finish it all since during this season they close early but still it was fun. So we went back to Temecula tired and sleepy, but satisfied with our days adventure!

Its my third day here in the Sunny state of California, so far i'm having alot of fun!!! I arrive in LAX on the 25th. Attended Ethan's birthday party on the 26th @ El Dorado Park, Long Beach,CA; it's a usual Filipino party with lotsa food and fun. And this afternoon Shiela, Elgene, Rachel and the kiddies Abby and Ethan drove to Long Beach California to see the famous Aquarium of the Pacific and Queens Mary's Hotel. At the Aquarium Rachel and me pretended to be kiddos again hunting for the passport stamps areas after each section. Then when we finish it we buy some churros (Churros are fried strips of dough typically served hot and sprinkled with powdered sugar, cinnamon and sugar or dipped in chocolate.)Then afterwards we stroll towards a lighthouse and click away till the last light had fade. We drove afterwards to Queen Mary hotel and explore this famous ocean liner turn into an attraction. Tired and hungry we drove back to Norwalk and have our fill of Chinese/ Japanese food in Zen Buffet. Minding that my weight watcher Vince will bug me if i over indulge, i stay away from carbs and had a true Southbeach diet. After we had our fill we went home, me pack a light overnight bag and drove again towards Temecula where Rachel lives. And here i am now blogging myself away, hmmmm i will zip this for now. Till next time!!!

525,600 minutes..................thanksgiving day!!

525,600 minutes, 525,000 moments so dear. 525,600 minutes - how do you measure, measure a year? In daylights, in sunsets, in midnights, in cups of coffee. In inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife. In 525,600 minutes - how do you measure a year in the life? How about love? How about love? How about love? Measure in love. Seasons of love.
525,600 minutes! 525,000 journeys to plan. 525,600 minutes - how can you measure the life of a woman or man?
In truths that she learned, or in times that he cried. In bridges he burned, or the way that she died.
It’s time now to sing out, the the story never ends let's celebrate remember a year in the life of friends. Remember the love! Remember the love! Remember the love! Measure in love. Seasons of love! Seasons of love.
The song above is adopted from the play "RENT".As my friends and i were watching the movie version (we watch the play last year) this line kept vibrating on my mind as i listen to the song " How do you measure a year in the life?". This prompted me to write a series of blog for this season. I was thinking of starting it on my birthday but felt its nice to start it this thansgiving, but proscrastination have come in the way so this is a bit late. Funny how time really flies, i celebrated two thanksgiving here in the LAnd of Milk and Honey already. On and on and on and a year have pass in my life.Make me think what have i done to fill those times, how they just pass and gone for good. All in all as i was thinking and reminiscing, i've discovered that a lot have happened, met a lot of people along the way, some i have touch, some just pass by but nonetheless add some color in my life. Last year thanksgiving was spent with a very nice family in Virginia; this time was spent in New Jersey with friends whom i considered my second family.I'm writing this blog a little late because i was tired last night, a little tipsy, chatting and preparing a trip to Cali. Still belated Turkey Day to all!

 When Iris eyes are smiling.....
* she's feeling great * she's giving you a smile, smile back * she's thinking of happy thought, maybe its you * she wanna get your full attention, give it * she cares for you * she's reminiscing beautiful memories * she's travelling and discovering a new place * she wanna touch your soul * she feel thankful and blessed * she was able to capture something beautiful in her camera * she's touch by your messages * she's enjoying life and whatever life has to offer * beware she's cooking something crazy in her mind * she's thinking of something naughty * she's reading the threads in DA * she's being a DORKETTE * AND MOST OF ALL SHE'S JUST BEING HERSELF
When Irish Eyes Are Smiling There's a tear in your eye, And I'm wondering why, For it never should be there at all. With such pow'r in your smile, Sure a stone you'd beguile, So there's never a teardrop should fall. When your sweet lilting laughter's Like some fairy song, And your eyes twinkle bright as can be; You should laugh all the while And all other times smile, And now, smile a smile for me.
When Irish eyes are smiling, Sure, 'tis like the morn in Spring. In the lilt of Irish laughter You can hear the angels sing. When Irish hearts are happy, All the world seems bright and gay. And when Irish eyes are smiling, Sure, they steal your heart away.
For your smile is a part Of the love in your heart, And it makes even sunshine more bright. Like the linnet's sweet song, Crooning all the day long, Comes your laughter and light. For the springtime of life Is the sweetest of all There is ne'er a real care or regret; And while springtime is ours Throughout all of youth's hours, Let us smile each chance we get.
When Irish eyes are smiling, Sure, 'tis like the morn in Spring. In the lilt of Irish laughter You can hear the angels sing. When Irish hearts are happy, All the world seems bright and gay. And when Irish eyes are smiling, Sure, they steal your heart away. (song of Ireland)

Life have so many facets that molds us; making the totality of what we are right now. The experiences, the joys, the sorrows add spice to life giving it a different flavor. Challenges do come don't be overpowered by; face it and grow from it. Whatever happened in the past are bygones let it be. Leave doubts and regrets behind, don't dwell to much on what might have been. Start to live again with the new you, the improve you. Don't be dependent on someone for your happiness, its your responsibility. Be yourself!!! Remember that there is One Up There who make all things possible. Have Faith!!

All of us have our own mystery, those we tend to hide from others, so that we will not be vulnerable to them. But still those are the things that reveal the real "YOU". Only those who really love you and care for you can see through the mask, see the inner person that you are. The invisible "YOU"!!! "Now i ask you what do you think is the real me, dare to guess?"

A song by Hale describes what i feel at the moment!!! I miss him so much, wondering if he thinks of me too, if he still remember me or this is just a wishful thinking!!!
And now I concede on the night of this fifteenth song Of melancholy, of melancholy And now I will admit in this fourth line That I love you, that i love you
I don't care what they say I don't care what they do
Cause tonight I leave my fears behind Cause tonight I'll be right at your side
The clock on the TV says 8:39 p.m. It's the same, it's the same And in this next line I'll say it all over again That I love you, that i love you
I don't care what they say I don't care what they do
Cause tonight I leave my fears behind Cause tonight I'll be right at your side Lie down right next to me Lie down right next to me And I will never let go, will never let go
I leave my fears behind Cause tonight I'll be right at your side Lie down right next to me Lie down right next to me And i will never let go, never let go
But still I see the tears from your eyes Maybe I'm just not the one for you
