Oct 12, 2009 9:47 am Mood: proud, 961 Views I know, it's kina late, but I've met with the best Visayan (Cebuanas) FFF friends last July, 2009, and they are (left) JACQUIE, handle salami252001, and COY, handle babesy (to my right)...Ah! the wonders of meeting people/friends originally encountered only in cyberspace...Both of these ladies are very educated, and successful in their chosen careers in CEBU...But, just like me, their lovelife is somewhat lacking and are both waiting for that Prince Charming to come along and sweep us off our feet...What's with successful women, anyway? Aren't we supposed to complement successful men and not to threaten them? Shall I add, that not only we are successful, we also have HUGE hearts that can hold and offer so much LOVE and HAPPINESS...What's with these MEN?...hehehehehe! ..Please, don't mind me...I'm just " rubbing it in. Self Gratification - There are many men that need to fulfill their narcissistic nature by selfishly stepping out on their relationship in order to meet their personal needs. Unhappy in Marriage – A marriage is a mutual agreement between two people and the truth is sometimes that agreement is not upheld and things start to be taken for granted. In the case where the wife stops doing the little things and takes her husband for granted, a husband may attach himself to someone else willing to give him that attention we all need. It’s not right, but it is how it happens! Peer Pressure – Many men like to convey a macho image around their friends, and there usually is that one friend that outs that pressure on a man to “pursue” that that co-worker that is showing interest! Surprisingly enough, so many men crumble to that “manly” pressure that’s that! Shameful, but once again true! Opportunity – It has been stated that the better looking your man is, the more likely he is to cheat at some point. Why? Well, the more times he is confronted with the temptation, the more chances he has to cheat. Its simple math, so combine all the factors above with so many opportunities, and sometimes that perfect storm comes along and crumbles even the strongest will. Today, women are twisting traditional gender roles more than ever, whether they're running for the presidential nomination, competing in a male-dominated professional golf tournament, hitting the open-wheel racing circuit, or heading a Fortune 500(TM) company. As women take on larger leadership roles in the workplace and in society, it's only natural that they've begun to assume these roles in the realm of romance, as well. This "role reversal" trend is not only evident in the number of women proposing, but in society's willingness to accept this shift, as six out of ten Americans (59 percent) do not think that men should always be the ones to propose.
