The one thing that happy, successful people don't do a lot of is complaining. The chronic complainer tends to always have something wrong in their life, their issues are more important than everybody else, and when you have something to vent about yourself, they aren't very interested in listening. Constant complaining does nothing but push your friends away and keep you in that dark unhappy place.

While alcohol can help loosen you up in these social situations, drinking excessively on a regular basis can cause all sorts of havoc in your life. Since alcohol is a depressant, the following day after drinking yourself silly usually results in a pretty unproductive day.

No matter what you do, you only have so much impact on what the future has in store for you. Stop worrying about tomorrow and focus right at this moment.

Making bad food choices or eating too much is not only bad for your health, it can make you feel lethargic, guilty, depressed and when done for extended periods of time typically results in gained weight. Unfortunately eating poorly is a vicious cycle. Often times people eat to self medicate when they are feeling down.

Unhappy people get caught up talking about other people instead of talking about things such as ideas or current events. Lonesome fellas also have a tendency to judge others. "Look what that knuckle head is doing!" "Can you believe what she is wearing!" If you catch yourself judging somebody you don't know, bite your tongue. Trashing somebody else might make you feel better for a moment, but all you are doing is masking your insecurities by trying to put them beneath you.

Harbouring animosity towards somebody is like carrying around a backpack full of rocks. You don't have a problem carrying it, but it is a load on your back, and life sure would be easier if you could just take it off. Forgiving will help free you of anxiety, stress and depression and allow you to have happier relationships. Free yourself of the hate, and move on.

One of the biggest causes of unhappiness is loneliness. Being sad generally stems from lack of social stimulation.Reducing face to face interactions tends to reduce social anxiety for less extroverted individuals. Unfortunately staying within your comfort zone, limits personal growth, and prevents the development of valuable face to face relationships.

When negative thoughts enter your head, immediately think of something else. Never entertain them.

Jumping to conclusions usually comes in one of two forms; Fortune telling and mind reading.Fortune Telling is when a situation arises and you automatically predict that things are going to turn out poorly. Because of this fortune telling, you often take yourself out of these situations, which for the most part would end in a great experience. You lose out by having jumped to conclusions and predicting an unsatisfactory outcome. Mind reading is when you automatically assume that others are negatively reacting to you or something you've done when there is no definite evidence. This can and will make you feel like a victim and can result in unfounded resentment towards these imaginary reactions.

Often times unhappy people have a tendency to blow small things out of proportion. Take a step back before you deal with an issue and try to look at it objectively. Often times if you try to take yourself and your emotions out of the equation and think it through you will realize that you are making a big deal out of nothing.

How you talk to yourself can seriously affect your self image. When you make a mistake, tell yourself "You made a mistake, next time you will do better." Saying things like "You are are stupid" or "You are a piece of crap" does nothing but lower your self worth.

Start small, and build up steam, you are the only thing that stands in the way.

So many people spend a ridiculous amount of time trying to please others. Stop doing things for other people and do things that delight you.

There are lots of pissed off people and they want to drag you down to their level. If somebody gives you the middle finger while driving, smile back at them and let them spend their energy being cranky. Don't let somebody else's bad day control the outcome of yours.

Most people think that if they had more money, their happiness would increase accordingly. Unfortunately, much like "Waiting for the future," the illusion that more money will solve all your problems and make you happy is nothing more than just that, an illusion.

My boss introduced me his long time (a couple actually). They came back last Friday to consult for the best investment and about their financial future. It so happened that they are both from the Philippines so I had the chance again to taste the Filipino delicacies as shown above. Biko, pichi pichi, special suman, kutsinta, halaya or ube and maja were in the containers. What is your favoite desser and/or street food?

Different strokes for different folks

Each person has the right to make choices and is entitled to his own point of view. Someone can do whatever they want provided they do not harm others by their actuation. The expression "to each his own" conveys a resigned acceptance or dismissal of someone's taste or preference. Many times the right to take a decision alone can look to be rude especially when it goes against the opinion of others.
"If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away." - Henry David Thoreau
The reason why Issa and I clicked is because we give each other the chance to grow by not being selfish or in contradiction. We never whine, we never find fault, we never complain and we always support each other that's why both of us are on top of the world and in our best shapes to love one another.
The secret of true happiness? To each, his zone because different strokes are for different people. Even the twin siblings are unique and can't be the same. Try not to whine, try not to complain, try to let people have their own lives and freedom of expression then YOU will feel the happiness and peace of mind that elude YOU for a long time.

My mom, my grandma, aunts, cousins and their friends admire the one and only SHARON CUNETA. I also like her. In fact, we have several copies of her movies as well as CDs and audio tapes.

Sharon Gamboa Cuneta who was born on January 6, 1966 is a very popular actress, TV host, singer, ad model and entrepreneur of the Sharon Home Collection. She has starred in 53 films, 10 television shows and recorded 40 albums. She became the jukebox princess from 1978 to 1980 with the huge hit Mr. DJ and Kahit maputi na ang buhok ko. Her popularity has translated into the field of advertising, where she is the highest paid Filipino celebrity endorser. She is also known as The Mega Star of Philippine Showbiz having been a grand slam awardee, a box office queen hall of famer and a recipient of several lifetime achievement awards at a relatively young age. She is the only Celebrity contestant who made a second appearance in the franchise "WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE." She won P1,000,000 (14th question) during her first appearance in 2001 and won the grand prize P2,000,000 on her second appearance on January 9, 2010. On January 12, 2010, coinciding with her annual birthday show, her self-titled magazine Sharon at Home was launched and has since become one of the best-selling titles of ABS-CBN Publishing.
Sharon is also the first Filipino artist to sell out at the Los Angeles Shrine Auditorium first in 1988 then on June 11th, 2005 concert. Her poster is enshrined in The Shrine's Hall of Fame next to stars Michael Jackson, Barbra Streisand and the Ballet Folklorico de Mexico. She created a traffic jam in the 90's and puzzled the former LA Mayor Tom Bradley. After hearing of her success, the mayor attended the concert and awarded Sharon with an Honorary Key to the City. She had a mega concert in Las Vegas on Nov. 27, 2009, the latest of which were in Toronto and Vancouver held this year. She also had a duet in the 2001 with famous Hong Kong star Andy Lau, with whom she sang "In Your Eyes" composed by Jim Brickman. Sharon sang too with Angela Bofill and together they recorded ‘This time I`ll be sweeter.’
In 1996, she hit a "Grand Slam" in Philippine Movies for the film Madrasta where she played the role of a loving stepmother. Sharon became one of the rare actresses along with Nora Aunor, Vilma Santos and Lorna Tolentino to be awarded all the accolades given in local Philippine Cinema. Her ``grand slam`` includes: The Star Awards for Movies, People's Choice Award, The Film Academy of the Philippines, The Gawad Urian given by the Manunuri Ng Pelikulang Pilipino and the FAMAS (Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences).

My mother, on the other hand is also mourning feeling the pain of Sharon. In fact, the mega star served as my mom`s inspiration especially while raising me alone. She and I watched Bituing walang ningning, Pasan ko ang daigdig, Dapat ka bang mahalin, Bukas luluhod ang mga tala, Tatlong mukha ng pag-ibig, Babangon ako at dudurugin kita, Tayong dalawa, Kaputol ng isang awit, Sana`y wala nang wakas, Ikaw, Jack `N Jill, Minsan minahal kita, Pangako sa `yo, Kung kailangan mo ako, Maging sino ka man, Wala nang iibigin pang iba, BFF, Caregiver, Kahit konting pagtingin, and Mano po 6.
Yesterday and today, I heard my mom listening to Sharon`s love songs namely Mr. DJ, Damdamin, Matud nila, Tamis ng unang halik, Kahit wala ka na, PS I love you, Sinasamba kita, Init sa magdamag, Para bang baliw, Pangarap na bituin, Total eclipse of the heart, It`s my turn, Patatawarin ba kita, Now that you`re gone, Kahit na, So much in love, Kahapon lamang, Mahal kita mahal mo siya mahal niya ay iba, High school life, Both sides now and many more.

Elaine Cuneta was first confined for abdominal pains on September 2 and was in Saint Luke`s Medical Center intensive care for more than seven weeks. She passed away on November 5 at 12:06 in the afternoon. Cause of death: profuse bleeding and internal complications due to abdominal surgery. The wake is being held at the Capilla Del Senor and Capilla Dela Virgen of Santuario de San Antonio Parish in McKinley Road, Forbes Park, Makati City. The deceased is an older sibling of Helen Gamboa-Sotto. Like Sharon, Elaine was also an actress, singer and a former beauty queen. ABS-CBN, big bosses led by Ms. Charo Santos-Concio and Ms. Cory Vidanes, as well as Zsa Zsa Padilla, Lorna Tolentino, Mother Lily Monteverde, Paulo Avelino, Willie Revillame, Anthony Pangilinan and many more came on the first night. Throng of fans, comrades and notable personalities can be seen to show love and support to the queen of all media.
From PEP, it says ``Maganda naman ang disposisyon ni Sharon na punong-abala sa pag-aasikaso sa mga nakikidalamhati.``
This comes from my heart, Sharon and thank you for the many inspirations you gave to my mom when she needed them the most. We who admire you will always stand by you in the midst of mean and judgmental society.

Please look after your health too and be strong for your . Kindly accept our deepest condolence.

As most of you knew, I have loved an amazing woman who makes my world the most beautiful. She puts me on top of it. Our love is the strongest there is. We are motivated to do whatever it takes as long to make the other person happy. Our relationship began so gradually we did not even notice it at the beginning and then grew into a love so strong that we can never separate from each other.
“If I ever had to choose between living forever or being with Issa for a short time, without hesitating I would decide to be with her because there is no reason to live without her love.”
These I will often say..."You are like a melody in my life, sweet and serene, able to see us through the stormy times together and still with a song in your heart. Without you by my side, I am incomplete. You are the peace in my life, the one that I turn to for comfort and my unconditional love. You are there for me and I am grateful for the sweetness of your heart. I have been blessed with your presence in my life, honey pie. I truly love you, sweetheart...God is great, He gave me you.'
'I am fortunate to have you in my life. You are the one thing in my life that is true and real. I am honored to have you by my side to love and to cherish each day of our lives. Our lives together may have some ups and downs, but through the good times and the bad times you are my angel who stands by and offers your gentle hand to pull us through the fires.Mahal na mahal kita, Issa.'

John Howard Tory is not someone who backs away from a good fight, nor does he succumb to defeat. Tory, who at one point trailed then front-runner Olivia Chow during the campaign, was elected mayor of Canada’s largest city on Oct. 27, 2014 with more than 40 per cent of the popular vote.
He was born in Toronto on May 28, 1954. He married Barbara Hackett in 1978 and had four : John V, Christopher, Susan and George. He graduated from the University of Toronto in 1975 with a Bachelor of Arts degree, and received his law degree from York University’s Osgoode Hall Law School. He had executive positions at Rogers Media, Rogers Cable and the Canadian Football League. Awarded the Order of Ontario in 1992 for being “a consummate champion for the Greater Toronto Region as a founding member and chair of CivicAction and chairs and volunteers on countless fundraising campaigns.
According to a report in the Globe and Mail in 2012, Tory’s ancestry can be traced back to James Tory, a soldier in the 71st Scottish Regiment who fought during the American Revolution (1765-1783). He was held prisoner of war, and after the war ended, the English gave him land near Guysborough in Nova Scotia.
As Mayor, John Tory will make Toronto more liveable, affordable and functional. Public transit is at the heart of what it takes to improve Toronto. His ONE TORONTO PLAN which have been discussed will start construction of the Scarborough subway extension immediately. It will finance the City’s one third of the capital cost of the SmartTrack line without raising property taxes, using tax increment financing. It will also provide new express bus services for a segment of travelers that can be moved much quicker if fewer stops are made en route.
Tory has also promised to focus youth unemployment which is hovering around 20 per cent. He promised to double the number of companies involved in the city’s Partnership to Advance Youth Employment by 2015. He will make a reasonable, achievable, measurable commitment to more separated bike lanes and a network of separated bike lanes. He will immediately combat Toronto Community Housing’s growing backlog of repairs by spending $864 million.
He officially takes the reins and be sworn in on December 2 as the 64th Mayor of Toronto, Ontario in Canada.

A little act of kindness is still huge at heart

James Free, a worker with a Regina renovation company did what he believed was an act of compassion when he bought a cup of coffee, a sandwich and some cookies then gave them all to a homeless man. He tried to be very discreet so nobody would notice. He just wanted to be able to reach out and be helpful a little bit. What that man didn't see was after he left, the homeless man sat quietly eating with tears streaming down his face and a four-year old asked his parent why was that so. The story has been shared on a social media by almost 2,000 people. Men and women who live in the street have tough life to get by, that they need to survive on their own so when someone care for them in this act of kindness, they become emotional and thankful.
If you were to assist a person, what kind of gift or help will you give? Some say they hardly offer cash because instead of the food, the money goes to drugs, alcohol or gambling. Do you agree?

How do you cope if you or someone you love is depressed?

My mom and my aunt were both surprised at what happened to 63-year-old comedian actor Robin Williams who ceased being alive because he was down in the dumps, was alcoholic, into drugs especially on his early stage of Parkinson's Disease. He was popular, rich, being loved yet he chose to leave us. I was conceived when my mom was diagnosed of clinical depression of which she decided to stop taking any medication in order for me to be normal and healthy. I wonder if I could inherit such illness. What are the symptoms of it? I googled it already and asked several persons I knew who have this at present or in the past. Is it true that it keeps coming back?

Written in character-voice, first person back story

Below is my first ever back-story which I wrote as requested by my aunt's close friend to be submitted by her for his final exam. For my effort, the young man got 86% overall. Not bad, isn't it?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My name is Chris Johnson, a law student who works as legal assistant and goes to school at night and on the weekend. You know what...just listen to me because this is my story. I still vividly recall when I was 14. My father took off and never came back. I was boiling mad at him for leaving me behind, for not taking good care of me at the time I needed him the most. My beloved mom died earlier due to heart failure, diabetes and hypertension. Financial crisis played a vital role in why she passed away so quickly. I wasn't able to provide her medication because nobody cared enough to help us. I was left all alone after my mother died. My dad continued to ignore me so I tried to survive on my own but I felt so sad, so empty, heart broken with no one else to turn to. It was a roller coaster of emotion for me for being young, lonely, afraid and penniless. Nobody showed mercy on me. Most people took advantage of me, of my confusion, of my innocence, of my sadness...It cuts like a knife.
I turned to our heavenly God and asked: "Why me? Why do I have to suffer like this? Why did my own father forsake me? Why did my mother die so so soon? What did I do wrong to deserve this kind of misery? "
Most of the time, I was sleeping on an empty stomach. I worked like a in exchange for some food and little money so I could live. I work hard at pursuing my studies, so maybe one day I can have a better life.
I learned that to be able to succeed, I have to be more persevere and diligent. I have to soar like an eagle.
Time is moving swiftly and I know it's going to be clear skies in the near future. My promise is to work harder and if one day I am given a chance to be a dad, I will give my the best that life can offer. I will not allow them to experience the sufferings and poverty I encountered.
