Three children shot dead in Gaza Gunmen outside a school in Gaza City have shot dead the three children of a Palestinian intelligence chief linked to the Fatah party. One adult was also killed in the attack, which took place in a street crowded with children.
The children's father was named as Baha Balousheh, said to have led a crackdown on the Hamas movement 10 years ago.
Tensions between Fatah and the Hamas government have frequently led to gun battles in the streets of Gaza.

crowd rally

Beirut rally attracts huge crowd Hundreds of thousands streamed into the heart of Beirut Hundreds of thousands of Lebanese are taking part in the latest protest to press the government to cede more power to the opposition or step down. Led by Hezbollah and its pro-Syrian allies, the rally is possibly the largest demonstration Beirut has seen.
Christian opposition leader Michel Aoun, a Hezbollah ally, urged the prime minister to accept a national unity government or face further action.
PM Fouad Siniora has vowed to resist what he has called an attempted coup.
Demonstrators have been waving the red, green and white flag of Lebanon, but others are also waving the yellow flag of Hezbollah emblazoned with a fist holding up an AK-47.
Fully-veiled Shia women, Christian students wearing t-shirts and fathers hoisting children on their shoulders were among crowds who cheered a series of opposition speakers urging the government's resignation, the AFP news agency reported.

Mr Aoun, in a video link speech that appeared on giant screens, told the crowd that the time of Mr Siniora's Western-backed government was over.
He said the opposition was committed to "peaceful means, but even other means are legitimate".
Lebanese army combat troops sealed off major roads around the two squares where the rally is taking place.
However there is also a heavy presence of Hezbollah security agents wearing white caps and carrying walkie-talkies, says the BBC's Kim Ghattas in Beirut.
The Hezbollah-led protests began on 1 December.
"We will stay for days, weeks or months. Whatever it takes to bring down the government," one protester, Nader Hafez, told Reuters news agency.
Government veto
The opposition accuses the government of being weak and corrupt, and says it no longer represents the Lebanese people after six pro-Syrian ministers resigned last month.
Under the constitution, the death or resignation of another two ministers would automatically bring it down.
Opposition supporters have camped out in Beirut since 1 December Hezbollah has been demanding a bigger share in the cabinet that would give it the power to veto government decisions.
The current cabinet came to office last year in the first election held after the withdrawal of Syrian troops originally stationed in Lebanon during the civil war.
Syria was forced to withdraw its military presence after massive street protests and international pressure, triggered by the February 2005 assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.
A UN investigation has implicated several Syrian officials in the killing, although Syria has denied any involvement.
The government in Beirut has also accused Damascus of ordering the assassination on 21 November of anti-Syrian cabinet minister Pierre Gemayel.

Non-virgin brides face 'white dress fines'

A Romanian priest says he wants women to pay a 'white dress fine' if they are not virgins when they marry.
Father Petrica Bratu, 37, from Valea Sarii says he hopes the fines will stop couples living in sin.
The fines will range between £10 and £60. The average salary in Romania is £100 per month.
Father Bratu said: "The fine depends on how intimate a couple have been before they get married."
Couples who had only just moved in together would pay £10 but brides who were pregnant or had children would pay £60.
The priest asked: "What is the use of the white bridal dress if the bride went from one man to the next, or if she comes into church holding the hand of her child?
"White is a symbol of purity. I want this to stay unchanged. I do not want young people to think that there is no such thing as sacred matrimony."
But groom Plamen Baldescu, 27, complained: "Weddings are so expensive already - this is just too much.
"The priest heard sometimes I was allowed to stay over at my girlfriend's parents' house and suddenly he is demanding large amounts of money as my fiancee supposedly does not deserve to wear white."

Frozen frog comes back to life

A tree frog has miraculously come back to life after being accidentally frozen solid in a freezer in Australia.
The tiny frog was found covered in a layer of ice in a walk-in freezer - at -18C - at a Darwin cafeteria.
But - after defrosting - it fully recovered and started breathing again, reports the Australian Daily Telegraph.
Sue Hoddinott, 47, who found the frog, said: "I couldn't believe it. He was completely frozen rock solid. When I found him I thought 'Poor little thing', and I went to put it in the bin.
"But a friend said not to, as she had seen on TV that they can come back to life when defrosted. I told her she had been watching too many movies, but I did it anyway.
"She ran her finger over his back to wipe the ice off and he started breathing again - it was amazing."
FrogWatch NT co-ordinator Graeme Sawyer said it was an unusual story.
But he did not rule out the possibility of a frog being revived after it was frozen.
"I've never heard of it happening with Australian species but there are American frogs that can be defrosted and come back to life," he said.

Holly the tree dog

A tree-climbing dog is an unusual added attraction at an illuminated trail in a Worcestershire park.
Officials at Spetchley Park Gardens, near Worcester, hope Holly, a short-haired collie, will swell the number of visitors to the seasonal walk.
Holly, whose owner Kate Portman is the head gardener at the park, has opted to enter the spotlight in recent weeks by climbing trees at the 30-acre site.
Ms Portman said: "She climbs trees in the garden at other times of year and has her favourites, such as cedar, pine and evergreen oak, but when the illuminated trail is on she just goes crazy, climbing anything and everything in sight.
"You would think she would go for the easy ones which have branches hanging down to the ground, but if it's a tree she particularly likes the look of, it doesn't seem to matter if it has low branches or not, she simply runs and accelerates straight at and up the trunk.
"Then she sits in the branches for a few seconds, admiring the view, and then jumps down to repeat the process."

Giving very odd excuses

The General went out to find that none of his G.I.s were there. One finally ran up, panting heavily.
"Sorry, sir! I can explain, you see I had a date and it ran a little late. I ran to the bus but missed it, I hailed a cab but it broke down, found a farm, bought a horse but it dropped dead, ran 10 miles, and now I'm here."
The General was very skeptical about this explanation but at least he was here so he let the G.I. go. Moments later, eight more G.I.s came up to the general panting, he asked them why they were late.
"Sorry, sir! I had a date and it ran a little late, I ran to the bus but missed it, I hailed a cab but it broke down, found a farm, bought a horse but it dropped dead, ran 10 miles, and now I'm here."
The General eyed them, feeling very skeptical but since he let the first guy go, he let them go, too. A ninth G.I. jogged up to the General, panting heavily.
"Sorry, sir! I had a date and it ran a little late, I ran to the bus but missed it, I hailed a cab but..."
"Let me guess," the General interrupted, "it broke down."
"No," said the G.I., "there were so many dead horses in the road, it took forever to get around them."
