His role is that of a jester
He'll make you indulge in laughter
But when the show is all over
he hides and weeps in a corner
He'll take your sorrow away
turn colour black into gray

A puppet without strings
who never dances but sings
of a sweet melancholy,
of a life very lonely
He is an irony
unknown to the world
An oblivious infinity
unspeakable in words
The laughter and joy

who find him a toy
or a cheap commodity

but taken for granted
when to be loved and accepted

Rico Blanco has had enough of his erstwhile bandmates’/friends’ tirades and has finally broken his silence with his new burning song; “Yugto”, his answer to the song of the band calling themselves Rivermaya (which I really think should change their name now and stop clinging to it just for musical and commercial survival); “Maskara”, wherein Rico is intentionally and maliciously depicted as a villain and backstabber just for taking a break and eventually leaving the band after molding it into the band it used to be. ‘Nuff said, here’s the lyrics:

Sonic Boom is a production that has carried and promoted prominent, promising and up and coming artists/acts under their name, touring different places and venues in the philippines and has even brought some foreign acts, like NOFX to the Phlippines. I have only watched 2 of their gigs but I can say that their lineup just gets better in time. They have more to offer now than ever before. So if you are into the band scene, this is one hell of a gig you wouldn't wanna miss!
SONIC BOOM PHILIPPINES will be celebrating its second year of existence at Atchie's Calye Brown, El Pueblo Ortigas Pasig (Manila, Philippines) on August 23, 2008 (Saturday) 7PM with performances by SALAMIN, TAKEN BY CARS, INTOLERANT, THE AMBASSADORS, NYCTINASTY, THE OUT OF BODY SPECIAL, HILERA, URBANDUB, RICO BLANCO, KJWAN, TECHISOBA, TYPECAST, FASPITCH, WEST GRAND BOULEVARD (Singapore), FIREFALLDOWN, and DJ DUBIOUS. I miss the rush of joy she gives to my heart
I miss being close to her though so far apart
I miss the way she makes me dream of her kiss
I miss writing her poems like this
I miss her messages I check everyday
I still do, although she went away
I can't explain why she means so much to me
